Ok, so here's the video for my funny encounter. Nothing exciting but just a driver trying to be funny but fail.

There are so many types of bikes out there. Most of these inspection officers does not know what is what.

 

 

QFT.

 

Won't name the centre. I once went for inspection with my GSR 400. Fella told me 4-into-1 full system not legal by Lta standards. Bike is stock stainless 4-into-1 with cat...

 

Then he asked if my bike, I had removed the fairings... Gsr 400 is a naked.....

 

After some searching on their comp, they said, OK, looks normal, can pass.

Inspector is either trying to be funny or not fully update with what is legal/illegal. Recently got a drz failed inspection and was told 'flower' disc not allowed but when the rider showed the inspector the fb page saying 'flower' disc is now street legal as long as same size as original disc, the inspector quickly changed his mind and pass the drz

 

Flower disc logically should fail. This inspector seems very cock

"Sent a Suzuki DRZ400SM fitted with aftermarket 'Braking' brake discs for annual inspection.

 

Motovation Singapore already posted on their Facebook that all BRAKING discs are now LTA APPROVED as long as their diameter size is the same as OEMs.

 

Inspector said FAIL as only round ones can pass. 'Flower' shapes ones are not approved.

 

Showed him the Facebook post and he changed his mind & said he'll give chance.

 

So if other riders out there do not know about this, they have to go thru the hassle & fork out more money for nothing."

Sry, my bad for not stating which brand of "flower" disc. Braking "flower" disc are now street legal as long as it is the same size as oem.

Ask these drivers if they have ridin licence. Or simply say when they drive recklessly they kill others. When riders ride recklessly they kill themselves.

Well I feel that if I were to hide behind a name then not really right. But even though I adopt this mindset of "I do it and and dare to admit" but I understand that the mob can be unpredictable. I will think about it if I ever have another video to post. Lol

 

If ever I wan post such video I must explain the context clearly. Some comments say I annoy even though it was safe. But if u read my sg bike 1st post, I already declare there was enough distance, I wasn't affected. And I educate Becoz I felt it was safe to do so. I do this alot but not video worthy. Posted this video Becoz of the driver reaction, not Becoz of the lane change... Zz oh well.

 

Waitforme: is ok la. I read the 100 comment in sg share, I guess it's enough that majority is supportive.

About them flower discs. Good to hear that they're getting approval. Guess even oem are heading down that road. E.g. The cb650f and mt-07 are using flower shaped discs.

Sure got this type of people. Claim only they ride bike. Just like that female I posted screen shot of. She claims she also ride but when pursue further suddenly no reply.

 

Many motorists need to go for refresher course. Still got those think motorcycles cannot be on lane 1. That was a rule from so many decades ago.
