Or U can remove the airbox and install a GENUINE 'race filter' like KNN or BMC..

Race filters therefore is direct to the carb and therefore increases power but be reminded, many things haf to go along with it, increased jetting, PROPER tuning to suit itself to the bigger airflow..

yea bro.. saw a Z with those mushroom like filters... looks cool and sporty.. is it legal? i doubt so... thanks..

I thought that type is not good for z....Our bike engine might died when raining...water seep in through the air filter....

nope, it won't.. it's somehow water-proof to a certain extent. I've used it before years ago. Of coz, U won't wanna spray water onto it la.. just extra caution when washing.. riding in the rain won't affect anything unless it's flooding..

alright, am going out. Will be in Geylang in the evening..

If its such a hassle to use the filter(ie, jet settings, carb tuning), why bother? The bike is good as a cheap transport to go to work and back. As long as it doesnt affect everyday usage, low maintenance, I won't bother with this air filter thingy.

PS: Just my thoughts though, no harm.

I totally 100% agree! I mean if it means more job for just a small item which we can just remove yet the bike still can run, wats the point then? So I think I'm goin to leave my bike the way it is.

Although I'm abit worried tat everytime when I start my engine, there is tis hissing sound near my carb. Like those air escaping sound lah....

Haha both of u r rite but once again our "Z" cld be mod to be in par with those sportsbike, if done correctly with da rite mod it cld even overtake those SP, KR & even TZM. Dats da reason y some even go to d extend of modifying their ride..............:thumb:

Totally agree. Our 'Zeck' is a versatile bike. But I don't see the point of actually beating these TZM, SP, KR whatsoever unless for racing competition and win a prize. If the only win is a bigger ego or maybe an accident, I'll choose my precious life man.

The most people who whack their bike when they saw my P Plate on the road are all those youngsters, with GF behind them and their ugly bikes. I mean c'mon, just because I'm a P Plate, doesn't mean I'm new to the road.

What the h*ll, I'll just turn my head, look the other way, and just ride away safely to work. Getting to work in time is a win for me rather than getting my ego boost.

My point is, RXZ is a versatile bike....very very versatile.

Ya i agree wif u bro, sumtime i really dnt understand wat dis youngsters are trying to proof, is it juz to show off to their gf dat they are gd riders or faster than us? For all they noe, when i 1st got my licence they are still sucking their mum's milk.......:thumb:

I couldn't agree wif u more. I don't know wat's on their mind when they zoom past me with a few inches to spare or when they fork out their hard-earned cash to make their bike look 'nice'. Is it to show off? Or is it just their passion/hobby? I mean I even saw those pakcik2 doin up their bikes, then lepak at Ah Boy's coffee shop, smoking and drinking when they're suppose to puasa!? Kadang2 they are more worst than the youngsters nowadays on their cups!!! Haiz... Dah tua2, relax kat masjid ke rumah sudah lah, beramal-ibadah ke? Hee...

But us bein boys, we still hav our ego although I would choose when to let it go. Tat's why I choose tat particular morning to test out my top speed!!! Not much car, no mat2 on bikes to worry abt cause they are all at Geylang showing off and ultimately, no TP!!!! Hee...

But I may be wrong though...

You might wanna check your air filter, maybe got SNAKE inside??? How long haven't you checked it? He he...

HAH!? Serious ah! Hmmm... Even if the snake decided to make my RXZ it's home, it won't last long; the snake become crispy from the heat the engine is emitting.... Hee...

But still, is there any possibility/cases of creepy-crawlies makin our Z their home?

Ya i agree wif u bro, sumtime i really dnt understand wat dis youngsters are trying to proof, is it juz to show off to their gf dat they are gd riders or faster than us? For all they noe, when i 1st got my licence they are still sucking their mum's milk.......:thumb:

Hahaha... Well I guess boys will be boys, we are born wif these egos in us. It's just a matter of whether u wanna show it off or not. As long as they don't disturb me while I'm riding peacefully should be fine. But watever it is, our S'pore 'show-off' riders are nothin compared to those Malaysian's Rempits... So yeah... To make it up, they dress up their machine, find hot chicks to show off to the world and then show off their 'skills' to their pillions!

Actually I agree tat they are gd riders. I mean wif the way they speed and weave in and out traffic, I'm surprised tat there's not much fatalities on the road nowadays involving those youngsters... So yeah...

As for if they are faster than us thingy, I think we're just keepin our cool. I mean, even our stock Zs' can outrun those small, teeny-weeny powered bikes. Just a matter of whether we wan or not... Hee...

For Battlax 17" 80/90 (front) & 90/80 (rear).....

Its always, "Which tyre is good on WET?" Why not ask, "Which road is good when WET?"
