Guys I hav an idea! Why don't we meet up before the raye start and do some servicing/maintainance/washing to our Z. Tat way we are killing 2 birds wif 1 stone by 1stly, gettin to meet these frenly peeps here and while we're at it share thoughts and ideas as well as maintaining our bikes before raya starts. I'm sure many of us wans our bike to be in tip-top shape during raya rite?

 

Any comments? Just a suggestion...

It's a good idea. But still have to check my schedule. As you know, raya is getting near, besides our bike, we still have a lot of other stuff to do. Work, clean house, clean room, bake kueh, shopping for clothes, go to Geylang, tarawih and others.....

 

But it's a good idea though, what about the rest?

hey bros.... does using the original gear shift lever and non-original lever have any kinda effect on dropping gear? some times coming to a stop at traffic lights.... dropping to first gear my bike got this "dangerous" loud tudd kinda sound... not sure why... thanks....

Shouldn't be a problem using non-original gear lever. I'm using it too. The sound is normal. If its too loud then maybe you might wanna have a mech check your engine.

by the way, heard a rumour from a taxi driver. said nowadays Zs are all from malaysia, that's why very lousy. for good Zs, must buy 10 years ago one cos all from japan? is it true?

i really dont think so la... i've seen so many FE, FD plate rxz in such pristine condition and some condition like ****.... all depends on how you take good care of it...

Oh dear. Hope it's not tat bad. Nvm, the next time u saw anybody acting very suspicious near to ur bike, just msg the guys here in tis forum. We'll come down racing in an instant!!! Bike and all... Hahaha...

Hmmm... I'm not sure bout tat. I mean, if it's tat lousy, the Malaysian model won't even be marketed here. Yes it's true tat there are 3 diff models of our Z, firstly being the Japs, which is very rare nowadays cause they no longer in production. Then it's the Thailand version, and finally the Malaysian model. Both Thai and Malaysia version are those with 6 speeds.

 

Although I hear the Japs makes the best engine out of the other 2 models. Having the stronger engine and 'tahan lasak' block. The stronger blocks bein the Y1 and Y2 models, followed by Y3 and the latest, Y4. U can check ur model by lookin at the right side of ur block. U can't miss it.

 

Well, I'm just saying wat I've heard from other ppl. I may be wrong though...

For those who riding krr, sp, TZM or 2-strokers, i have found a gd deal for top overhaul going at only $195.(RXZ is $150) This includes changing of new

piston

carb washing and tuning

engine oil change

coolant flush

gaskets

chain tightening

spark plug

Replace piston ring

Service valves

Polish block

Polish cylinder head

and checking of ur bike. Only genuine parts are used and they will show it to you.

Y am i promoting them? i think they r really gd and i bargained with them to come out with this package for the benefit of most 2B riders who r STUDENTS working part time. Hope this will help ur wallets. cheers!

Syamitomo, supervivid & skykechique - Wish cld do dat & mit u guys b4 d raya but too bz at da moment, wrkg during da day & have to attend to da stall at da bazaar during da night. Hopefully will organise a gathering or mit-up session after da raya season like wat we did b4. Do tune in to dis thread for any updates aite.

 

Syamitomo - Wow, thks for sharing wif us bout d handlebars and vibration thingy. Ur knowledge bout all dis stuff is very valuable. But pls bear in mind, bicycle parts are still not strong enuf to sustain d impact shld anyting happen cos our bikes is fully loaded with other stuff compared to d bicycle. If u still wanna do it, try to get a better material but of cost as u know some bicycle parts might be more expensive.

 

mzbs - sorie to hear bout wat happen, do be more carefull when on da road thou we cant really avoid accident. Hope u r ok.

i need help. i have a rxz. i love rxz. except that my bike gives me alot of probs. fuel consumption. wiring. piston jam. i have been spending alot on it. now im in a dilemma. should i get it repaired as in get everything brand new (engine, block, piston) or just get a new bike?

 

if i get it repaired.. how much will it cost to get new engine, block and piston?

 

need help on this! thanks.

i know how u feel bro. just be glad that ur orite. bike is secondary ayte but i still feel ur pain to see our bike going down in an accident

I've skid when i was juz bout to exit my carpark... Too bad i have to repaint my head ferring... N for dinzmetal, i'm glad to to dat the tail light fits ur bike... I'm already using ur brake disc...N Blade_trinity, yup dats my bike on the avatar...
