Hi guys, Anyone done their z from 5 to 6 gears? Wats the pro and con?

 

Hi!!! When I bought my 'Z',it comes wif 6 gears. But the last gear, gear mati. Untuk showoff aje I think. Hehe... But then, I change it back to 5 gears after my mech told me tat all my gear dah makan each other. I think in terms of performance, for 5 gear u can drag ur rpm all the way before changing gear, so u gain more speed before changing gear compared to 6 speed 'Z'. Well tat's my thought anyways....

 

oh ok thanks khai for the info.. yah tot of taruking the carb to my z.. but the stuff hard to find.. if panter rare then SDR 200 rarer.. hehe got such word ke??

hello all... lame juga seh tk main SBF forum rxz ni... d last time i tried to make a gthering at al ameen but failed due to lack of people...furthermore got diff pple timing when they free. is my eng correct? ape ape pun ape aku nk ckp is lain org lain timing seh free time dorang...soon i going to orgnise it again.. same place at al ameen eating house at bt timah but timing nt sure.. anyone interesed? d more z d better it is (imagine 8 rxz bike come to al ameen..WOOHH !! haha)

how much does it cost to change the bracket kepale rxz?

mine is the 'kotak' (old fairing) bracket..

but using catalyzer head fairing..

den my kepale rxz lyke facing the sky seh..

not nice hahhaa

 

if im not wrong my friend change the head-stay bracket for RM$30.. prices should range ard there.. im clueless bout here in sg.. hope tat helps

Geng, on the 3rd aku tak dapat ikut tapi kalau on the 13th aku dah ajak pendek accompany aku gi JB. Kalau kau free on the 13th ikut lagi lah, ramaikan kaki. The more the merrier.

$200 very cheap....y u need to overhaul?or what are they changing when overhauling...what i know unique motor have a lot of supporter in this forum...so they cant be bad...

- Service valves

- Service/tune carburetor

- Polish block

- Polish cylinder head

- Replace gasket

- Engine oil

- Spark plug

- Lubricate/adjust drive chain

- Check tyre pressure

- Check electrical lighting

- Check brake fluid

- Check brake pads

- Check coolant

- Check clutch

 

 

They change this bro... replace with original yamaha parts...

hmmm i think so lah.. i asking for different carbs cos want to try out je.. been using the mikuni 26's but with diff jet pilot and main jet due to my different blocks and porting done.. takpe lah cool bikers.. u have it lah.. i stick to my 26's ok tat way we dont argue .. cheers!!

 

ako ni bukan lah kate expert dlm barang moto.. its been my interest lah bikes since my sis got her licence at 16years old. geram seh.. and ako minat godeh godeh moto.. until i cannot fix, then i learn the proper way from mechanic..

 

ako banyak project rxz cos ingat nak main sekilo ngan ako nye akaliao bengkok.. but along the way while still learning to bikin moto kasi kuat, he passed away with his beloved rxz FU 1035 L the first fuchs silkolene paintwork with no 24.. so tak sempat ako nak try ngan dia.. but managed to try with my RD 125 YPVS instead against his z.. we are back to back only difference.. so now everytime when i ride my ride, is in memories of him.. sentimental value to me.. ako keluarkan ni z semata-mata for him cos his 135 is not compared to my TZM 150 YPVS back then.. he said, "di keluarkan z sudah.. jadi kiter boleh test saper punye 135 lagi kuat.. bikin tempat sama, tapi cara masing masing.. baru fair sebab dah same c.c..."

so thus till today i hold on to tat memories cos i love him like my very own younger brother..

 

and yes cool-biker i am my own mechanic.. just let me change your engine oil once, then u know what im talkin about.. yah im open for everyone.. ask me anything.. i'll answer to my knowledge learned so far and by exprience wise

if 135 got coolant then must be spark 135.. yah im confused also khai.. wat bike u riding ni trinity?? yeah i agree tat is full sevicing with wat khai said.. khai, maybe he is confused for the words, top overhaul, that also means full servicing, but only to your cylinder block wise.. not till your brakes and all.. tat is more like pre-riding checks..
