i have been on the road for 4 months and i still have concerns as to actual riding

 

when in driving center and the instructors all nag at us to signal and check back and blind spots... and we'd think that ya la, ya la... i know, and after all check also nothing... heh think again... it's not the same and even if you have to check 2 or 3 or 4 times pls do so

 

and don't worry about the squeezing or more rightly... lane splitting... what's more important is that you get to your destination safely, and to enjoy the ride... overtake then stick to your lane, so *touch wood* at worst if some one else does make you kiss the tarmac you'd be totally in the clear and hopefully on your own lane you would be in the right spots and have space to avoid the drivers who think they own the road and try to squeeze you away... no point getting angry and upset with them coz no matter what happens, you are the one getting hurt if some thing happens, so move aside and let them pass, and if you have to, just show them the finger then back to full concenration on the road and the vehicles around you

actually if u try to follow what the instructor told us to do everytime...ull end up accident oso...coz not all of them are practical...coz in some situations when u need to focus more on ur front than ur sides..then if u always gan cheong check blindspot then suddenly theres a car in front u dont have enough time to react how?BANG!

 

if u guys have enough exp and trust in ur mirrors u can just use mirrors...oh well of course..p platers nowadays where got use mirrors right..deserve to be banged

I wish i got a rearview mirror on my bike or helmet then can check back like car.

 

I did tot of that and hoped for that before too hahaha. But no where to mount it and spoil the look. Well i find its really base on how long you ride and how much you piang also la.

 

Cos every accident is a precious lesson for me and i can read how the drivers behave even before they try to do funny things. Well inorder to let newbies taste the tarmac i think ride with safety on you mind will be very good enough. TS Enjoy your ride.
