Hi :)

A big THANK YOU to you, Supervivid!! You have no idea how much i appreciate it. As i said, it is not that i don't have money for the stickers or some parts, i only buy (or order) something when i can 100% afford it. My only problem is to get the money to you.

@AhGui

I just got the regular plates last Sunday, the Isuzu guy brought them personally and collected the red ones. Actually i bought the truck end of November last year, but me and my boyfriend decided to wait with the registration until January - you know, it's the 2009 model D-Max "Platinum" and near the end of 2008 so why make it "one year older" :) Then the "family fortune teller" in Chiang Mai (where we spent the x-mas holidays) advised on a certain number which is a "lucky number" so, once back in Bangkok, i reserved that number at the DLT and then just waited for the three entities DLT (issues the plates and blue book), bank (does the financing and hence keeps the blue book until the truck is paid) and Isuzu (gets the paperwork done) do their thing - which took over one month :) And all the time we had to log every meter that we drove in the red plate log book - police very much loves to stop cars on red plates to check said book, if the current trip isn't entered they want a fine. As the truck is only used on weekends it's no problem, but still an annoyance.

So yeah, it's now a "just no longer red plate" truck with some 3,500 kilometers on the clock, which includes one trip to Chiang Mai (700 kilometers one-way from Bangkok) and one trip to Mae Sai (250 kilometers one-way from Chiang Mai) as well as one trip to Ayudhaya and one to Pattaya, each some 120 kilometers one-way from Bangkok.

My RXZ is closing in on 83,000 kilometers by the way - i guess by middle next month both my RXZ will have the same value on their odometers. Currently i ride Destiny to work once a week to keep the engine in good condition, all the rest is done with my trusty Bulldozer.

Best regards.....

Hello again :)

Wow i spend more time posting here than working :) I just looked at that page.... poor engine, why did that happen, no oil? This is why i don't like four-stroke... the only four-stroke bike i ever owned (a Honda CB 250 DeLuxe) seized so hard that i needed an angle grinder to destroy the cylinder so i could get the piston out.... not enough oil in the bloody thing, and that happened when riding at around 50 km/h in the city!

But you know what? We have something in common. Since April 2008 all three computers at my place run on Ubuntu Hardy Heron - ONLY on that , no more Windows for me at all :) So far on all three machines combined one single issue - after a power cut during boot (UPS battery was dead, meanwhile replaced) the system coughed up some error messages during boot and shutdown - however that kind of fixed itself within three days, without me doing anything - now it's all fine again (happened last week). I do everything in Linux, the only Windows application i still use is uTorrent - it's just so much better than Vuze, Ktorrent and Deluge, and i run it in Wine which works perfectly. My desktop and theme are personalized (modified black theme) and i use AWN, too :) My main machine and the media station run Gnome only and my experimental machine has Gnome, KDE and XFCE (Ubuntu, Kubuntu, Xubuntu) which i can switch around whichever i like at that moment. Ubuntu is simply GREAT.

Will you go for Ibex? I myself will stay with Hardy, it works just too good to be replaced :)

Kind regards....

Hi Thanh,

Glad to hear you are flirting with Open Source Software. I am using Intrepid on my desktop and laptop. Not much difference between Hardy, except, Nautilus has Tabbed browsing including Terminal and the network switching are seamless, especially on my laptop when I switch from LAN to Wireless.

Waiting for Jaunty, the boot times are faster and the new filesystem Ext4 is practically faster in copying and accessing too.

I'm part of Team Ubuntu Singapore (http://ubuntu.sg). I help to organise events for the Team and we work well with Malaysia and Indonesia teams. Hoping to get in touch with Thailand's team so we can make a SouthEast Asian Ubuntu Alliance(..hehe probably)

Anyway, about my bike, seems like part of it is my fault. I did not ensure that the engine oil is enough. (I rode it for 3 months only, still have a lot to learn). So I got busted while trying to clock 180km/h. Apparently, the was a valve leak, causing my engine oil to burn together and ultimately causing the engine oil to deplete. :(

No.1 Lesson Learnt: Always check engine oil.:dot:

Warmest Regards,

Heidir

Just to add on to your torrent issue. Why not use Transmission? Anything you need in particular?

If you wanna upgrade to Hardy, System -> Adminsitration -> Software Sources -> Release Upgrade -> Select "Normal Releases"

No need to download the new ISO, burn it and re-install everything.

Good luck.

Hi.

Does that then automatically exclude me? Because i can't meet you guys due to technical reasons - doing 2-3k kilometers on my Z takes a little while and my boss won't give me enough days off, ok?

Saying "stickers will be GIVEN...." is not nice, either.... as we pay 5 SGD for one, you not GIVE them, we BUY them instead. And as of yet nobody came forward to give me a PayPal account for me to pay to or OK'ed my deal with LuckyThirteen. If you wanna exclude me please tell me straight to the face ok?

Regards

Thanh

THANH THANH~~ :faint: sighs.. for your case its totally understandable dude.. :sian:im only refering to those here in sg..

are u showing me attitude??

yes no doubt u can GIVE me the money and BUY them from me.. but if i i refuse to issue 1 to u what can u do about it!? i can simplyreturn u back the money.

IF I MEANT U I WOULD HAVE JUST STATE IT IN HERE AS IM A STRAIGHT FORWARD GUY AS THE REST CAN SEE! understand..
