Hi guys,

Just ride passed this mobile speed cam at one of the overhead bridge in SG.

Got some points that I need to ask and hopefully can get my answers in SBF.

1 ) The mobile speed cam works like a camera ? or videocam ? meaning does the TP officer need to press the shutter to take the picture (in the case of a camera) or can he just push record and video all the sequences (like a videocam)?

Was picking up to about 80km on a 60-70 km 3-laned road.

My actual speed should be about 10km less than whats shown on my speedo (heard from friends that class 2B speedo not as accurate compared to 2/2A).

Anyway the officer was beside the cam (not behind), he was bending over to do something.

So anyone can share on how the thingy works ?

thanks in advance!

got say cheese? joke aside. at lentor? dun think u got shot. and also at speed 80, dun think the diff with the real speed is as much as 10km/h.

in sg, sound fast look fast is enough. run fast fine fast die fast.

Heard that they need to set it to a focus area. When you pass by, if you exceed speed limit, the cam tracks you for few seconds and if you cannot stop in time, bingo! You won a ticket! The system runs auto after setting so the TP can do whatever he likes ( look at XMMs at overhead bridge )and you still get your ticket. :cheeky:

does the camera only focus on one lane? normally if it's on a overhead bridge,it only focus on the centre lane...

ride safe today,ride again tomorrow
