Where is the best place for a variety of bikes? I went to the one at Far East Plaza.. There's not much of it and the quality is sort of poor.. 1/18 size ones for $8 each though.

Is that considered cheap or expensive?

I bought this ZX12R set from hobby point in Thiong Bahru.

The Parklane shop is at basement, opposite a music shop (music shop is beside the pool shop)

Specialist centre shop is on the 3rd floor, u can go there either via the escalator nearer to hotel Phoenix or thru John Little.

The Centrepoint one is either 3rd or 4th floor, nearer to the 'Pizza hut' side of the shopping centre

U juz finished the model as fully assembled? Or juz the spraying portion?

To remove paint, juz have to soak in DOT 2 or DOT 3 fluid

If u finished decal-ing already, a bit tough to buy those decal already.. I cant find them in singapore shops.

If you could, remove the fairings or rather, the areas that you wana spray paint. Would be easier than trying to mask out the areas where u dun want paint to land on.

Original paintwork?

1) Use masking tape to 'cut out' the shape, then spray one tone

2) After paint is dried, mask the area tt u sprayed previously, and spray the 2nd tone.

3) Paste the decals tt came wif the model kit

Dun tell me u bought the die-cast model?

If u bought the plastic kit (Tamiya, fujimi,etc..), of course u have to DIY!!

For die-cast models (metal), to spray paint, u cannot use plastic paint. There are paint for metals as well at hobby shops.

The shop in Marina square near the Cinema used to teach ppl how to airbrush. U can ask if the shop will wana do spraying for u. He might even know where to find decals.

One cheap way of creating decals would be printing them on sticker paper, then after u stick them onto ur model, spray a few layers of lacquer

p.s. i havent actually tried it yet

Die cast models are those made of metal, and usually come fully completed off the shelf.

I think i noe the r1 '01 model u looking for. Seen it before in HongKong.. Not yet to surface in SG though...

The shop in Tiong Bahru can place an order for you, ie if u r really interested.
