Common thing between us is the age of our front tyre.

whats ur current mileage?

im at approximately 37+++ and my front tyre was last changed at 20+++.

Lets just say if it comes to to changing fork im selling the bike.... or push back to shop....

hmm as bad as it may sound, i dont think it should be the fork. just now i did a simple alignment check on my bike:

- sit on the bike and position the handlebar in a "straight" position.

- maintain that position and put it on side stand

- observe the front, there shouldn't be any irregularities like something not being symmetrical

mine had no disalignment.

lets take 3 bikes, young, younger, and youngest as examples; chris, zed and myself.

all 3 have not changed forks before. young and youngest are experiencing this problem. younger experienced this problem only ONCE. hmmmmmm.......

there's also another thing about the "tightness" of the handlebars. im wondering if there's anything that can be adjusted to either tighten or loosen the handlebars hence making it harder or easier to turn, just like what david mentioned.

alright. i'll do up the steering cone and check on this handlebar tightness and post my findings here.

i remember the JB mech tightening the large bolt-shaped nut for the steering (i.e. the one below the ignition key hole) for me before. it could make the handlebar turning stiffer. but do note that if u already have some issues w/ steering cone, turning this nut tighter will definitely make the bad cone feel worse.

anyway, just wonder if u guys had done some examination of the front tyre. when i 1st got the bike, the front tyres had small bumps on them along both sides of the centre thread. got the front tyre changed for the 1st time under my ownership.

i guess the formation of bumps comes as the tyre ages. cause the same thing happened to the front tyre again after i did abt 30,000km on them. thus, went for 2nd front tyre change, i.e. the current tyre im using now.

this is interesting. so ZR might be right about the brake dust after all. air-gunning the calipers for 30 seconds probably would have the same effect as 30 minutes of 110km/h. =P

so now u have learnt a valueable lesson. even if u going for petrol run at 2am, notify MINDEF and most certainly.... Call ur PC's handphone until he picks up.

"sir im at Woodlands checkpoint now. going in to JB to pump petrol then come back liao. i notified mindef liao. just called to notify u. ok u may go back to sleep good night!"

i think the PC will FFFF u until jialat jialat.

probably cope your petrol tank too. lol anyway how is the brake issue ok bo?

Its part and parcel of owning a second hand vehicle my dear, bound to have things crop up, its up to your own creativity to solve the problems..... as for the wobble thingy, i can live with that.... just take care to to grip tightly. The handlebars that is.

Why sell and push to shop ?

Bike things breaking down one by one..... draining money.... nvm. See can endure to 2A out super 4!! :cheeky::angel:

======

Still this doesn't change my opinion of this bike.... still the best 2B i ever ridden. Other rides also equally as problematic.

Oh yeah tonight CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL!!! Me will be at YCK rd Prata shop watching.... or some other kopitiam with a big screen!
