eh guys just a quick question. Can second hand HEL brake hoses from cbr400 be fitted onto our bike? Is it too long or too short? Too long can trim to match our bike? Thanks

 

Too long. Cannot trim. You can purchase GPR steel brake hoses at the fraction of the cost of HEL. Same performance.

Hi guys, may i knw which bikeshop do u all go for servicing...like overhaul engine, nt those routine servicing. cos from wad i knw gt some shop aft they open up ur engine will ask u change this change tat, but matter fact those things r working perfectly fine. Also, any shop gt variety of modification parts (small 1), like racing footpeg, handgrip, brake & clutch lever(basically those parts for outlook 1 la) at reasonable price.

accidentally put some oil additive meant for engine oil into fuel tank... bike can start but when throttle it dies... my poor cbr150

 

anyone have any idea how to solve this? if go workshop, am looking for one that is near bukit panjang.... pls PM me...

Posting for a friend. 2006 FBA model. His top speed keeps dropping from 140, 120, 100 and now hovering around 80-90 for a period of half a year. Keeps auto over-revving if it is being pushed too hard on gear 5/6 at 6500-7000rpm onwards. Any idea what's going on? He thought it's a minor issue but I guess not. Replies would be greatly appreciated!

Drain all the fuel... and flush with abit of fresh fuel.... then go top up full tank see how. Then bring to workshop wash carburettor.

Spoil already.... but dono what... so check:

 

1. Engine oil level.

2. Throttle cable and housing

 

Most probably its #1.... or else the piston and con rod xiong tio liao.... cannot take it... go to workshop and check it out.

what servicing and parts has your fren done/replaced to attempt to solve the issue so far? this can help us narrow down the possibilities.

i've the same problem of auto over-rev eversince i change to eo penzoil. Is penzoil 4t not recommended for this bike? Cuz all this while use mobil smooth = (

Thanks for the input guys. He just changed engine oil recently but the problem still persists even though the ride is smoother. I presume it has something to do with the piston being worn out? I'm guessing an engine overhaul is required.

 

My friend just change engine oil periodically that's all. What are the other major things that must be done during servicing ah? Good to know so that he can tell the mechanic directly.
