Change engine oil to semi syn and then try again.... clutch plate is about $140 with labour i think.... forgot already.

 

Anyone knows where to get repsol fairing? mine's missing... somehow... haha

Thanks for the input guys. He just changed engine oil recently but the problem still persists even though the ride is smoother. I presume it has something to do with the piston being worn out? I'm guessing an engine overhaul is required.

 

My friend just change engine oil periodically that's all. What are the other major things that must be done during servicing ah? Good to know so that he can tell the mechanic directly.

 

im inclined to think that it has nothing to do with worn out piston rings. reason being, worn out piston rings should offer some consistency in terms of drop in performance. i.e. it shouldn't fluctuate high and low.

im thinking along the lines of inconsistent fuel or air being fed to the engine. besides engine, has your fren changed spark plug, air filter, air cleaner and washed the carburettor? guess it's a bit more tricky when it comes to tracing for fault in carburettor and maybe fuel pump.

how abt adjusting the clutch freeplay &/or biting point?

this will require some adjustment on yr part in terms of getting used to the new biting point, but it's one way to find out whether do u really need a clutch plate change.

i think the brand new stock fairing from dealers doesn't come with stickers. so u r probably going to get the fairing in orange and then get the stickers seperately.

should be for carburetor cleaning.

i don't think anyone cares to do engine flush in JB.

simply drain out the used oil and replace w/ fresh ones.
