i kinda got bored and read through this whole page of comments since about the 3rd july onwards and well.. here goes my thoughts

#1 idk why some people only hit a top of 100 cause i can hit 120 very easily (and 140 if i choose to drag the 6th gear a bit)

p/s: going at about 8.5k rpm. well, its a sportsbike. its designed to perform within that range. you can't expect to ride it within th 5-6k range and expect to even exceed 100km/h

#2 yea i do agree with the vibrations. get some bar end balancers. i'm currently on cbr600 '06 heavy weight racing bar end balancers. feels just like a vibrating phone that doesn't 'pause' when someone calls.

#3 idk about '06 model onwards, but my '02 model (probably the very first generation model) currently hits a maximum fuel tank of about 6-7 litres. on average i pump 4.5-5.5 litres. when it touches red (and there's still some fuel inside when i open the cap, just not sure how much and don't wanna push my luck) then i'll probably be able to pump say 6. at max 6.5

pps: my bike is fully stock internally

cheers and ride safe y'all

My bike also fully stock. But max can go [email protected]; and about 130 on downslopes. Not complaining about the speed but rather the vibration when it hits that range of rpm from 8k onwards. Any idea where can I purchase such balancers that you've mentioned and how much?

ah boy has em. ask for heavy balancers, cost around 15-25 depending on your bargaining skillz.

if you want branded one. Unique motors got sell Star balancers for 50 dollars or motovation balancers for 75 dollars.

i know what you mean about th vibrations. when i used those metal/rubber handle grips it like those you see forumers selling it didn't come with good bar end weights. so the vibrations was tremendously bad that i could only drag for 20 seconds before i had to let go. and, i hit 120 at about 8.5.. 9.5 i think i hit 130-140 already. just saying.

mm, i got mine when i dekit-ed my other ride. but, if im not wrong i've seen people purchasing it from LAB. think it goes for about 15 or 20 per pair. just get it. really. trust me. you feel almost no vibrations before the 7k range. im not lying :)

drop me a pm if you wanna meet up and discuss more about bikes one day and maybe grab a coffee :) if you're interested / have loads of free time and wanna widen your social circle. im cool :)

peace out y'all.

pps: ride safe out there people. the roads get meaner everyday

Hey there guys.

I'm riding the new CBR 150 R 2011 version and the bike's compared decently well. With it's good fuel economy and decent power, i believe it's a well deserved buy.

The only thing is, there a 6 bars for the fuel gauge. So far, I've been riding at an average speed of 90 to 100km/h and when my bar reaches the last one (blinking), my milleage hits 400km. Ok, so I decided to continue riding for about 25km more. Feeling insecure, I decided to pump full tank and to my surprise, I only managed to hit 10.7 litres of fuel.

How in the freaking world can we check when the bike reaches reserved tank? All I know it starts to blink. For R15, when it reaches reserved tank, the blinking will disappear and the fuel bar becomes full with the trip meter reset by itself to zero. From there we can see clearly how much more fuel we have on hand before it goes totally dry.

Do anyone here has the answers? Answers that are factual and not by guessing or grapevine? Really need to know.....Cheers!!

the specs of our bike says the fuel tank capacityy is 13.1 liters. looks like when it starts blinking, it means it is on reserve already and that would mean about +/- 2 liters left based on your 10.1 liters refueling.

I myself just reached 380 km today and left with 1 bar. Not yet blinking so i'm going to go out again tomorrow and pray i dont run out of fuel.

Hey guys,

Last night top up full tank on my cbr150fi , total 11.099 liters, and guess what, before top up my bike already hit 500km since last filled up, means I get 45km/l....

And I do some math base on my last 2 filled up, when the fuel indicator last bar start flashing, it's about 3 liters left.

Oh ya, my riding speed around 70-90kmh, sometime 110kmh.

Hope my calculation can help u guys.

Ride Safe!!
