Anyway people, if the sides of the tyre tread wears out, does it affect the stability while cornering. Somehow, i feel that the treads at the sides of my tyres are thinner than the middle.

Any advice?

dont think so

the part of the tyre in contact w/ the road are the parts which are more protruding

the grooves are there only to fling water off the tyres and road surface when travelling on wet surfaces

anyway i think it is quite hard to wear off the sides of the tyre threads faster than the middle portion if travelling on normal roads...

Does EO affect the pick** of the bike? After changing to the EO that caused much pain in my wallet, i realised that the changing of gears are smoother but the bike seems rather 'heavy' and the pick** seems a bit slower.

truth is...not everything is cheaper in JB. especially at places nearer to Spore e.g. Johor Bahru

engine oil is 1 thing which they charge almost the same as SG.

unless u have a really fantastic mechanic/shop in JB, i dont think it is worth the while to go there change engine oil only! :cheeky:

maybe the engine oil u have gotten is thicker?

Don, thanks for the words of wisdom. You really like Mafia Don ah. lol.

Anyway am i right to say that thicker oil will mean smoother change of gears but slower pick up?

2nd thing is that recommend me shops ley to service bike and stuffs. but not LAB ah. i got bad experience with the shop. so dun want to go there anymore.:cheeky:

It will definitely hurt the engine ah. Long term effects confirm one. plUs i think the wear and tear of the parts will be quite jialat.

:faint: i definitely am not a mafia member

haha

im not sure if thicker oil will result in smoother gear changing or not though..

only know thicker oil means more resistance to flow and to a certain extend, make the bike abit harder to cold start.

but going for extremely thin oils are not good either cause it sacrifices the protection aspect of the engine oil.

similar to ozzar, i've been using Castrol Power 1 for the past 2 oil changes on my CBR150 and many other oil changes on my previous bikes. so far so good :)
