wah bro...intending to change to spoke rims like some of those racer KRRs on the road? hehe

i still got my old X1 spoke rims. probably can get them to fit onto our CBR150 with some changes to the hub if necessary. the rear hub currently on the rims are meant for 125Z with brakedisc usage instead of the original drumbrakes.

c if u interested to try them out. letting go of them cheap.

so it is original X1 Union Cycle brand chrome rims with aftermarket bright yellow spokes. :)

 

wah yellow spokes really matching. anyway i want sport rims ley but want a bit lighter one. save fc right?

if it is a honest shop that u go to then i guess it is fine. they probably wont give a diagnosis which is too wrong. but some how quite a no. of Spore motordiams tend to chop their customers. for a minor problem, they can suggest 10001 things for u to change. hehe.

 

like what i suggest to other new CBR riders, look for motordiams with more favorable reviews under the Why Pay More section of the forum. but pls be reminded that good service usually comes at a higher price. :goodluck:

 

agree with you la bro. bike shop all like crap one sia. cannot find one that has everything you want and give honest advice.

how come this cbr single swing arm. and the pipe damn nice wah lao. jealous la. knn once finish ns work full time i know where my money will go to.

 

anyway the tyres are nice for cornering.

dont think can save much of petrol. u will probably spend more $$ on the new rims instead.

 

didnt noticed much difference between top speed or pickup or FC on my ex-X1 when i swopped from original spoke rims to sports rims.

 

have always felt spoke rims look nicer until 1 day when my rear tyre got punctured. :giddy: spent $25 to get a freelance mech to come down change inner tube for me beside the road. since then, i decided to spend $100 on a set of sports rims to save any future tyre inner tube replacement fees. :cheeky:

 

end of it, it is still the rider not the bike. cause after i sold my X1 to my fren, the next time i know he could bring the bike to topspeed 10kmph more than i could. hehe. blame it on my body mass~

haiz.. now i noe why my bike got weird knocking sound.. my uncle said d engine got problem.. haiz.

bring it to mechanic to check it up lor, anyhow deduce and scare yourself also no point. :smile: :smile:

hey guys wat our bike top speed yesterday try 130 but i dont dare to go up liao scare got tp

Where can i get screws for the sai tao ah?

mine is those which cannot be screwed in.

 

From those screws... can i change to those alley key type?

CBR150 is very light only 115kg. Stablility is an issue at >100km/h. When strong wind blow can feel the impact must counter it. That why i thinking of getting a bigger heavier bike like super 4.

when i changed my rear tyre from 100/80 to 90/80 i did feel a tiny weeny bit of difference. but FC wise more or less the same. yr definition of big tyres is how big? haha :cheeky:

mine also will have this slight rattling sound when i 1st start bike after parking overnight. guess they call it the hestitation period or smth, before the bike piston and piston rings warm up. but once after moving off, the rattling sound will disappear.

 

before i changed cam tensioner, there is this other rattling sound that comes on and off when the engine is idling. after replacement, sound also disappeared. hehe.

Oh how much is it to change d tensioner? i remember my mechanic say tensioner spoilt dats why d sound.. so duno wich one is it nw.. hw much to change tensioner n wher u do it?:thumb:

good evening all bros out there.. just wanna let u guys know what the mech say about the jerking issue i mentioned earlier here..

 

sat i went for my 2nd servicing at the same time told him about that issue.. he told me it could be due to insufficient power when i changed my gear up. I told him unlikely since i always change my gear at rpm ard 6k

 

he couldn't find any problem with my bike.. what he did was to ask me pillion him out for a ride, wanna see how i ride.. after which he pillioned me and went up to 120km/h and the bike was alright..

 

so in the end.. cun find any fault with the bike.. but he just told me in future change gear at rpm 7k he say thats the best for our 4stroke bike..

 

guess i will just keep monitoring now..

it probably wont cost more than $30 to get it replaced inclusive of worksmanship. in fact it is quite easy to have it replaced since it is located at the side of the bike. :goodluck: hope a new cam tensioner can solve yr rattling sound problem.

 

i'm not too sure how a cam tensioner works but i guess it is a device that reduces the slack in cam chain overtime and the cam chain controls the cam shafts. dont quote me cause this is really my guess :p
