Hey guys help me. Since i lowered my fork, my cornering sucks sia. Every time corner feel like falling. Is it because i never soften the rear suspension or tyres? My IRC tires still have thick threads. Never had this problem last time with the tyres. Anyone can engligthen?

:cheeky: think u corner too low le la.. or still not use to the difference in fork.. doubt its abt the tyres though

Its very easy to go. But will reckon that you do price survey on your item before going there. Cause i got no knowledge of this. Later become carrot.

LAB $50, shop before 10 mile junction $60, jalan besar $75, all with installation. home work do liao.

just back frm AGL

spent RM$140 on new front tyre, rear steel braided hose & spark plug.

got the mech to tighten my slightly koyak-ed steering cone. now when riding straight abit feel like falling down sometimes. looks like i need to get a new cone too. :giddy:

really regret getting the cone changed at the shop which i bought my bike frm. the lousy mech dint even tighten the cone properly, which explains why the cone became koyak within 15000KM.

wat tire did u changed? TT900 or BT39 or something new? steel brake hose brand?

i won't comment about EO too cuz i'm only testing out fully synth at my next EO change.

chain wise, i would ride maybe 5 to 15 min first, then i spray a light coat of lube on it lor, after lube, will set it out to dry and work into the chain.

derust i dunno the best way but to deal with rusty chains i usually will spray a good coat of WD40 or GT85 then just ride for a day or 2. then i'll wash it off with diesel or degreaser. clean le dry le then i'll lube it with proper chain lube. in my opinion, chain lube works almost equally well, only difference is whether it'll fling when bike is moving.

regarding the EO, i still dunno whats the diff between semi & fully synthetic so i cun comment much..

about the chain.. when u say u lubricate, how u do it?? what the mechanic say about 2-3 times a week is only by spraying chain lubricant leh..

is this already too much?? cos i still dunno how to take care of my bike then i notice the chain already got rust.. so i asked him how.. he tell me i should lubricate 2-3 times per week..

(btw, how can i remove the rust on the chain??)

I jus install Crystal White HS-H6M 12v 30/30watt into my bike & now pure white lights on both side............. whooopeeeee

how much are they going for? per pair or pair piece? 30/30W is still a little higher than the original headlight bulbs right? do post some pics here!

What kind/brand of chain lubes do u guys use?

im using some unused leftover engine oil from my previous bikes. they last me surprisingly long. :p

anyway, back to the original discussion on lubricating of chain. if u look at the chain from top-down. it is actually made up of many chain links in the shape of the letter H. the correct place to lubricate are both the left & right sides of the H.

there is no hard & fast rule on the frequency of lubricating chain. frequency of lubricating depends on the kind of lubrication u use. pple using engine oil like me probably need to lube the chain once every 500KM or so due to the high-fling nature of engine oil. for chain lubes which are very much less likely to fling off, once every 1000KM can be good.

chain sprays are plentiful in the market. some fling more than others. some have a more ugly color than others. end of it, its yr choice & yr money you are going to spend.

a point to note, excessive lubricating is not going to be helpful especially if u r using chain lube which are sticky by nature. u may end up having lots of unwanted particles getting stuck onto the chain instead, making it worse.

WD-40 is anti-rust like u said, so it's purpose is for derusting, not lubricating!!

Pls dun use WD40 to lube your chain.

I dun mind bringing you guys along. Well, i would only reckon accessories there.

Oh ya to those who are following me this afternoon, please ride carefully. Beware of DAMN BIG POTHOLES and never follow me to near cause i might jam brake if i see 'black' coloured road humps. My friend tailgated me, so when i jammed my brakes he did the same, he skidded and fall down. Please red this. Thanks. Don't wish to have any other mishap to my dear friends. Felt so guilty the other day.
