spark plug should be able to last at least 10k km, for me i changed abt 8-10k km.. some of the bike parts some ppl here can last veri long too.. i wonder how compared to mine lol..

With rgds to the bike died off.. I guess its probably becos the engine is still too cold..

try pulling the choke..

 

Thanks! Oh so meaning bike die off is common? Not becoz of engine having prob eh? Actually I haven't tried the choke yet as I didn't have prom starting the engine after it died off..

 

Actually just one more qn guys, do you find the default mirror's view not very gd? Don't know leh. How I adjust I just can't seem to see things behind me. So when I ride, I can only see the other lanes and not the lane I'm in. Kinda of dangerous I feel. What if ppl tailgate? Haha..

u r only required to top up coolant water when the coolant in the coolant reservoir is below the minimum required level.

coolant doesnt get 'consumed' like petrol. so no need to keep topping up unless there are engine overheat issues.

 

since u mention u just gotten yr bike, it will be good to perform a spark plug + engine oil replacement for a start.

 

approach reputable bikeshops like those recommended in the Why Pay More section of this forum to have their mech perform a visual check on wear and tear parts for u. things like chain & sprocket, tyres, brake pads, etc.

 

with yr new ride. maybe we can have a CBR150 sharing session/meetup soon?

i agree that the stock mirrors for this bike doesnt exactly offer a good view of the rear. guess this could be due to the smaller size in the head fairing as compared to other bikes like KRR or NSR SP.

 

doubt changing to aftermarket mirrors can help. in fact i saw 2 CBR150 before who changed the positioning of the mirrors to the handle bar. would have copied their idea if not for the aftermarket bubblescreen of mine which is abit longer than the original bubble.

can fit no problem, just that it'll be a thicker than the stock size, which to me is an issue lah, i'm picky.

 

actually i think ur mech means the sizes out of stock. they do have sizes for our bike.

 

the price i got was 70 per piece and 130 per pair

the mech told me bt39 they only have larger dun have our bike de stock size thus that explain y i got larger tyre on my bike now..

 

anyway back to the pilot sport.. how much u was told about it? guess about the front nxt time then i ask.. cos my rear tyre was patch before.. few day back the patch leak.. so patch back that hole so luckly still ok.. but the rear is wearing out soon.

top up coolant only when u see the coolant reservoir level is below the Low lor. if not it'll be fine.

 

speaking of spark plugs, tonight when i get back to my own computer i'll post a picture show u all. of my bike's spark plugs, show u spark plug used 10k mileage and a brand new one. if i can find my previous spark plus will show u all 5k mileage also.

oh ya, after 2 days of hard work, i completed my 2nd year servicing on my bike. changed quite a number of stuff here and there. half done at shop and half DIY.

 

spent about 220 in total.

 

oh ya, Delphi 4T isn't good for our bike, after i changed to my Castrol Power 1 Racing fully synthetic, the bike like suddenly wake up liao.

my 3rd hand FZ cost me $2200, which i bought direct from seller. i wouldn't go comparing prices like this since you've already bought the bike. important thing is, you've got your own set of wheels!

i believe you drive too, since i also find it useful to see whats behind me. what i did was to adjust it so i can see between my arms and body, so if i every need to see behind i just 'open' my armpits!

the damn shop at tampines use hammer and screwdriver to whack it last time when i want to change brake fluid. guess it broke then. ha. strongly caution ppl against it. went the shop 5 6 times. 4 5 times he cork up my bike here and there.

the mech said is bt39 dun have 100/80 or was it 90 for our stock.. i also wont know so its ok on that

 

 

erm wow ur pilot sport is cheap lei 130.. he quote me 150 i still thought cheap =P.. luckily i ask.. n i saw michelin got alot of dealer in sg can see from their website.. maybe if i wan to change can call n quote from dealer also but i duno r they like bike shop not if not they dun change tyre..

 

but hor is that tyre good ? how about comparing to bt39 also? ur views..

it's along desker road. if you know how to go to Mustafa, you're there. opening hours monday to saturday 9am-5pm. pretty decent place to get original Honda parts.

it is possible to remove screws which broke.

u just need to locate a good enough bikeshop which is willing to do it for u.

cable snap as unable to tahan the tension (pulling & stretching) it has to go thru when u clutch in and out.

 

to prolong the lifespan of such cables, it will be good to drop some lubricant (e.g. engine oil) along the cable lines to ensure smoother operation.

 

alternatively, try putting less stress on the cable by reducing clutch throwing.

 

this cables work like our bike chain. more maintenance and 'soft' usage = longer life span.

ah fat, i've done some homework and there a cheaper solution out there.

i would go down personally and ask the people there. good luck!
