Hey guys, talking about FC.. I dunno y mine is so low leh..

Since my 1st tank til now, I've been doing 30km/l

Maybe last time cos the way I ride, keep chiong one doing 30km still agreeable..

But my most recent tank, my top speed max 80km/hr BUT I still doing 30km/l leh..

perhaps could be due to fuel not being combusted efficiently?

try the regular servicing stuff like spark plug, EO, air filter & cleaner, wash carburettor + retune, checking of all cables (throttle, choke, clutch) etc.

if the above doesnt help, then it could be due to power frm engine not being transmitted to the rear wheel properly.

this one could be abit more tricky as it will get more costly to 'tikam' which parts to replace.

possible checks include whether the wheels can rotate smoothly, chain/sprocket condition & size, whether engine oil gets consumed by engine, etc.

if still doesnt help, i guess will need to open up the engine for checks and replacement of wear & tear items.

truth is i've been planning to send my bike for sucha major servicing but till now, have yet to find a shop which gives me confidence that they are familiar w/ cbr150r.

:cheeky:

hopefully after cbr150r gets launched in msia, the mechs there can pick up more abt the bike. at the same time, i also hope we dont find cbr150r becoming common target of bike thefts like rxz, etc.

i think it's possible woah, manufacturer's fault maybe? 30km/L is really chui. :faint:

this reminds me. i once spoke to a freelance mechanic who does on-site repairs. got him down when i short circuited my bike some time back.

he shared with me a case of cbr150r manufacture fault resulting in loud noises coming frm engine. after going for overhaul, problem solved temporalily but re-appeared after that.

guess the most saddening part was when he offered his opinion that my previous X1 could have been more reliable than cbr150r.

perhaps he made that comment cuz our engine is a bit more complicated than X1. might be the coolant part ba. cubs should be all air cooled i guess.

haha, not all cubs, spark is liquid cooled, then because cbr150 not very common, so most mechanic just troubleshoot like any other sports bike

ya that day i went to a boon siew distributor there the mechanic there told me slowly they will bring in more accessories by that time they will know more abt our bike ba ;)

but bad point is our bike sure will become bike theft's common target... so guys be extra careful when go over jb.

in car theory, the initial part when you run in your engine. your fuel consumption will be much lower than on the papers. for car maybe it's about 2-3kms less per litre.

after you run in your engine already, change your engine oil to another kind instead of the mineral. and after a while, your fuel consumption should be constant and able to hit 35 to 40 and above.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.
