it seems like most of the 2nd habd CBR150s are sold and bought within our little community, so you should be quite safe.

 

if buying from shop, the best is to go down with someone who owns a CBR150, at least the shop keepers see someone who owns one with you they won't dare to bullshit too much.

rear shocks with adjustable dampers! the Ohlin ones i'm after are few hundred $. =( Gazi makes cheaper ones. maybe LAB have better lobang.

 

it has an external cylinder to allow for faster cooling of the air inside the shocks. i need cos i always think hump is to test how 'hump chee' one is. therefore i speed up when i see hump. whee...~

i would say our bike, to push start actually not that difficult lah.. cos i push start for a number of times when my electric starter's cable dropped out.

only thing is scared cold weather, especially morning.. damn hard to start but otherwise should be relatively easy..

 

however, preventive measures are always good~!!!

 

if u have some dough to spare, can consider getting a digital multimeter for testing out yr battery.

anyone here have replaced any parts related to starter motor before?

 

i electric start my bike at least 5times everyday & i am damn scared the starter motor will fail on me pretty soon one day (especially when this bike has got no kickstart option!).

No worries, it was a last minute action from my side. In the end we tried several helmets but the RJays came out tops in terms of comfort and now we have matching helmets

 

Will try your point about adjusting later today and see if I can 'jumpstart' my bike without the help of a slope...may have to build some muscle myself also:angel:

anyway you mean nice rims? i did it at jb. for RM 50 if i don't recall wrongly but the paint is chipping off. don't expect a good job across the border. i know of a shop that does rim spray painting but at $50/rim. Turnout not sure good or not but in Singapore i think should be ok la.

anyways i didn't research much about these shocks. maybe you can go Ohlin's website to check out the ones i want for xmas. if you'd want to get one at least get a proper one that's not just an attached coke can. unfortunately i think they're more than $100.

I got a black FF flip up for myself and then another black FF for the wife. The type is tour tech I believe. Both cost me 180 bucks each. At first dont understand why FF alone also so expensive but then says its got snell cert so thats why. Wasn't really looking for another Rjays but this one had the best fit. Anyways, when buying helmet for me, most important is how it fits, some small, too small, then medium to big, must fit just nicely and happens to be the Rjays fit nicely both for me and my lady...

 

So far, quite happy with the flip up helmet. Good air ventilation and not too noisy:)

transferring can be done at LTA office (Sin Ming Drive off Upper Thomson Rd) and insurance can just call NTUC or any other insurance company, they'll give u a quote. For me NTUC gave a good deal. Need to go down one of their offices to pick up thew papers. Make sure to get the insurance before the transfer. There's a checklist on one motoring website anyways... check it out

Yesterday when I got home, I reduced my rpm to slightly above 1k rpm. This morning start no problem (no choke) and this was as much a cold/wet morning as we can get in Singapore. Anyways, still not experimented push starting but still think should not be issue:)
