how a bike perform depends on the rider?

Yeah agree with you... Should see how Derrick aka Racer rides... Anyway where's Derrick? how come MIA?

To have a normal life, you work for what you need.

To have a great life, you work for what you want.

Objection Objection ............. Your CBR150 is crap but hor my black donkey is a super duper .........................

how a bike perform depends on the rider?

Can our CBR with good rider outrun SP or KRR with good rider?

As for me, when Im P plate I did outrun SP with P plate also, just for once. Nvr ever race anymore after that 1. Its so scary racing on the road side by side with super super big truck.

CBR150R is not crap compare to SP or KRR.

please define crap.

Crap refering to speed. English problem bro.... :giddy:

if crap=

1) extra cost in maintenance due to 2T and clearing exhaust carbon

2) extra cost in poor FC

3) high emissions to the environment

4) often having parts stolen due to common bike

yes, i agree the CBR150R is crap.

What is MIA? You also lost like got new chocolate liao, do you? :cheeky:

There is misunderstanding here. According to him (ronny), crap refering to speed and I just use the same word for that. Actually, I dont really regard our CBR is a crap. I just saying this as per people said in other thread. Have you ever come through this statement about our CBR in other thread? I feel a bit angry though, when I read that. English problem bros.... :giddy:

As I said, our CBR is the best transport bike here with good style, good FC and very low maintainance.

Btw, I would like to apologize if my previous statement have offended anyone of you bros. :(

Guys, ride safely. Road is not for playing.

how come all the CBR150R has such poor fuel consumption?

Do you guys use alot of engine brake? Plus inappropriate of changing gears? Dragging gears? Inflatted tyres? Dirty air filter? Always lut lut until 12k to 13k RPM?

Taking $2.10 for 1 litre, $18.20 gives you 8.66 Litres

300km / 8.66 litres = 34 KMs / Litre

I can easily get 38 KMs - 40 KMs / Litre.

But it still boils down to the way how you ride your bike and the way you pump at petrol station. If you pump till when it touches the metal bar at the top of fuel tank, naturally you get better fuel consumption. If you keep shaking your bike and try to pump more inside. You'd get a bad fuel consumption. I never hit 33-35 KMs/Litre though.

Never ever have a street race, it's the dumiest and stupidest thing you can ever do. Not only you endangered other motorist/pedestrians, you endangered your life as well.

I do not wish to travel on the road with a traffic jam due to an accident caused by a fellow CBR150.

If want to race, please do it so at a track like Pasir Gudang or Sepang. It is a controlled environment whereby at the most your bike chui only.

Seriously, it's stupid. :dot: :dot: :dot:

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

oh so our bike fuel tank is 8.66 litres? thanks for the info..

no i never race.. dun dare.. i'm chicken ****. anyway my bike at 80km/h i already feel shaky liao.. indeed. don't race! our bikes are not made for it even if u dare to do so!!

and i pump till it covers the metal bar n top of the tank.. but aft parking overnight it tends to flow out leh..

$18.20 is pumping esso 5000.

so is it due to the age??

our tank is Honda rated at 10L, but i've managed to squeeze close to 11L before, right to the brim.

Nope, our full tank size is 10litres. Some forumities had actually squeezed in as much as 11litres or 11litres ++ into the 10 litres tank. Don't ask me why, it puzzles me too.

I don't think so. Mine's a FY plate but I can easily hit 38 KMs to 40 KMs per litre. Just a year younger than you only.

There are alot of factors affecting the Fuel Consumption though.

it won't be accurate to just calculate one FC and take that as the answer.

when i first started my calculations, i was doing 30+. after 20 averages, i noticed that the figure hovers around 45-50. that's when i stopped doing them.

speed alone does not determine FC.

because u may travel on normal roads 100% of the time doing max 80km/hr but ur FC lose out to someone doing 100km/hr 90% on expressway...

the difference we are talking about here is due to the constant stop-move-stop-move way of riding..

this way, u will consume more fuel than someone who actually travel non-stop on an expressway most of the time...

Anyway, for my case, i resigned to fate because its definitely not the way i ride as i tried the most conservative way of riding before that u will never imagine but FC still linger ard 30-33km/L

Well, i guess sometimes its just not u and me but the machine also have temper.. haha..

Btw, Uncle Lim when will u be out of SG anyway? i guess thats critical for whitefang to plan for an outing anyway...

Well... try and keep at a constant speed at 90km/hr

thats usually the best FC...

and monitor ur own riding style see whether do u do frequent braking all those...

tyres pressure.. ur ride's load..

so many different things affect the FC...

and if all these doesn't point to efficient FC, then u gotta learn to take it the way it is, just like me...

haha.. bo bian lah..

the way u put it, seems like u stay on the east side? bedok? marine parade eh?

hmmm... i m not very sure abt u guys' CBRs but did a test on mine during the wee hrs @ one of the rounding sessions with my frens... felt the toque coming in during 9k rpm to 10k rpm @ 6th gear... but max speed i can go up to is around 130++km/hr not very sure as my speedo got no lights after 80km/hr...
