okay thanks. Actually the guy that commented on our bike surely doesn't know much about it. I felt the engine is smooth and easy to control and of course saves our pockets. Its quite sad to part with this bike to be honest. First love is always this case I guess

Dear friend from Sri Lanka, i understand that you've been following this Singaporean thread for a while now.

i'm just curious, do you understand some of the local slang and terms that we use?

Not much :pity: but I do get the idea most of the time :cheeky:

Anyways I really enjoy following a thread where there are sooo many CBR 150 enthusiasts

In Sri Lanka according to the agents they have only managerd to sell 10 bikes out of the first stock of 25 they imported. Too bad our bike is not that popular in sri lanka. This is probably due to the high price

eo can put 1.5litres.. my last eo change put in 1.5 but all kana eat away though...

I only use 1L of mobil every time. I think 1.5L will overfill. If you put 1.5 when the oil is hot it will even enter the cilinder I guess. 1.5 is toooo much.

oh. to be honest, it's not that popular in singapore too due to its (apparently quoted by SOMEONE) low resale value. a brand new one would cost approximately $6000 to $7000 inclusive of insurance and road tax.

we want you to know that even though distance separates us, you are definitely part of the family.

maybe you'd like to share a little bit about yourself? like what age group are you in, what do you do for a living, etc?

n this one $150 is even exp or cheap ? thx..

yes, this is the thing we were talking about.

$150 ok only. i did mine for $120 at bikewerks. but they see bike also. 2009 R6 they surely more expensive.

Errrrrrrrr pass my old unit to any1 who mileage is more than mine - mine is 22k now. or hmmmmmmmmmm any1 got any suggestions !!

uh?

what happened to yr end-can?

kena scratches or wat?

why change?

my odometer run finish 1 round already and now nearing 4,000KMs.

during my ownership, i took it for 40,000KM on the same end-can that came w/ the bike.

prior to this, previous owners clocked 60,000KM.

though i can't be sure whether they replaced end-can before.

a pity that my end-can screws are stuck.

if not i will be keen to experiment w/ a half-tong end-can just for the fun of listening to a louder exhaust note.

:p

and guys... ytd i went to buy metal wire mesh from a fellow forumer and... he saw my bike.. and he gave it a very straightforward and no give chance dressing down..

I shall give a list of what the guy said.

1) bigger guys like me shld ride a bigger bike because is more suitable and better for me [because he believe that bigger bike can save lifes for fat arse like me]

2) our bike have no market for resale because its lousy.

3) He believes that 3M foam dbl sided tape is just overkill and dont stick well.

4) He believes that honda makes a very good bike, but cbr150 is a failure of honda. [which i beg to differ, of 150 is failure, whats 125? epic failure ah?]

5) He believes that my cbr having an alarm is useless because no one will steal it.

6) he tells me that buying a 8 - 9 YO s4 is better for me after i get my 2a, and he believes that a 8-9 YO s4 is not problematic.. [ya right...]

that guy is one serious talk but never use brain guy. zed's wiremesh on his fairingis held tgt by 3m foam dbl sided tape and till date is doing well... we alrdy have people doing it and its a sucess, why can't i try... it is something i am srsly wondering.

anyway i believe my blood pressure went up 50% after conversing with him, thus i told him.. aiyo. i gtg lo mother cookign dinner.

Listen only the good things. :cheer:

and also, i believe if you forget to take out your key on ANY bike. even on a c70, any guy will take the key and disturb your bike wat... Don't believe ah? try asking those who forgot to remove their keys.

I did left my key on the ignition. Only realised when the movie end. Guess what? Someone hide my key near the speedo. I believe he/she is a very kind soul for hiding my key so that others wont see it.

IMO if your chain is badly worn you should go for the sprockets and chain first.

Safety first :bounce:

Right, safety first.

wellll... my headlight, chain sprocket set are all usable condition...

but because i messed up my tuning of the bike by chgning the rear sprocket to 41T.. i wanna try for 43 T or 42 T.

as for the HID, is purely for asthetics and 'check out my cool HID lights' kinda thing ... if you knowwhat i mean. hehe.

but i still duno which shld i go.. as I'm a very indecisive person when it comes to that. lol

List out both purposes & compare. Which do u think its worth to do at this point of time? Then do it. Dont hesitate.

Hey... Zed wat are we going to do with our old ENDCAN after we change to the new 1s ??

Y not unblock the end can b4 changing to the new 1? Go test top speed @ second link. Then change new exhaust.

woah uncle lim....... mine FBB mileage 30k+ liao.........

Me too FBB 26k alrdy.

U R a heavy user, I'm a light user ......................... :cheer:

Perhaps its becoz Uncle Lim got car bah. .

Guys, ride safely. Road is not for playing.

Thank you very much for accepting me as CBR family.

I live in Colombo Sri lanka. I'm 27 years old. I work as a software engineer. I bought the CBR last year. It was first imported to sri lanka in start of january 2007 and I started collecting money from the first day I saw it and baught it end of 2007. :bounce:

I'm really enjoying this bike and when it comes to fuel economy, reliability, style, power I'm really sure that CBR 150 is the best bike to buy in Sri Lanka.

Too bad most of the people in the country can't afford one.

I used to have a Honda chally when i was younger and I barely could afford oil changes :)

I'm really happy that now I have this bike

My end can has started showing rust just after 1 year. yesterday I removed it and sand papered it to remove rust and applied high temp paint. Will have to see how the paint will hold up. If it holds up well I'm gonna sand paper the whole exhoust pipe and paint it using that paint.

Can any1 tell me what is your mileage when the needle just hit red zone?

And what is the actual tank capacity of cbr150?

Because I refuelled only 6L when my needle hit red zone today. That means I still can go for abt 4L till my tank empty?

the fuel cap hole so big, the best way to tell is to open and see inside!
