Since I am a " Guest iof Honor " - I am buying lunch ..... may i suggest we hv lunch at my 6th Floor canteen, Chicken rice, Roast Pork rice or Nasi Brani........ Cheap & good.

ok...but give early warning 1st ah

my soap bottle is somewhat the size of those small travel pack bottles of shampoo.

cause usually i refill this small bottle frm those 5litre washing liquid bottle i have at home. i actually ali baba the 5litre bottle during army days....

so far lasted me a good 5yrs already!

aiyo then soap i bring la.... i bring half a 500ml bottle of detergent enough for everyone? actually what i always do is to use those spray bottles the barber uses to spray ur hair with...

 

so i would fill up about 1 or 2 inches of detergent... then fill up with water and gently mix so as not to create any bubbles. then after rinsing bike with water... i would spray the "detergent fluid" on my bike bit by bit and use a nice soft cloth to gently massage...

ya true! i dun understand why he needs to spray it u know.. why not just pour some in a small pail, fill up with water, make it into a lather and just slather it on the bike with a sponge or cloth?? isn't it faster and gets the job done too?

 

ken, what is the purpose of the spray act?? u wanto save detergent is it?

in fact, yes. lol. i bought a 1L of ARMORALL and it has been a year already. barely half used. not that i dont wash or what.... lol

 

u see... if u wanna get a good lather using a 5L pail... u gotta pour more detergent into the pail as compared to using a small spray bottle. and when u use ur 5L pail... some of it will inevitably spill onto the floor... that small amount could probably fill up my small spray bottle and thats definitely more than enough for 1 wash.

anyway guys , is it recommended to get my own helmet when taking my license ? and if so where to get a .. good yet not too expensive 1 ?

 

if u dont mind, can just use the driving centre's helmets. free aroma therapy.

 

or if not, 20-30 plus should get u a decent helmet. then when u pass, get a proper helmet and ur "learning" helmet can be used as "pillion" helmet, or can use it again when u go for ur 2A 1 year later.

 

or........... if u really wanna feel sentimental about passing 2B, then use that helmet all the way. :thumb:

Outing: DIY session + BikeAsia 2009

Date: 28th February (Saturday)

Schedule of Events:

10am: meet at Zed's Al Ameen for breakfast

11am: DIY endcan at Zed's motordiam/ bike wash

1pm: Lunch, Bedok (Guest of Honor: Uncle Lim)

3pm: BikeAsia 2009 Singapore Expo

5pm: Home

Ticket prices for BikeAsia: $15 at gate, $10 online, $8 student.

ahh.. than where should i get ? .. any specific store ? or should i just get from forum ? ..

 

Lim Ah Boy.

 

For new one, LAB. Cheap.

For used and even cheaper one, forum lor. But at least get one that has no or minimum smell lah.

 

I'll always prefer to use my own. That is the whole purpose of having it cleaner and smelling nicer. Don't have to worry abt kutu too.

 

Just make sure to get one with a non-tinted visor, and got PSB sticker. Very important, otherwise cannot take lesson.

 

Don't get a garang garang full face one either. Unless u wanna up passing on ur 115th time.

i remember seeing some advertisement banners on the forum mainpage featuring helmets at good prices. maybe u can try checking under the advertisers section. the prices are close to wat u can get frm the famous Lim Ah Boy for similar models (if u have a non-discount face like me).

anyway i say 5L cos the 20-cent water dispenser near my flat dispenses approximately 5L of water so ... i gotta use a 5L pail... with that 5L i get to slowly lather (at most 1L) and another 4L to wash off all the soap.
