i admire your proactive nature and respect your guts to speak up against the norms. we need more altruistic and committed individuals like yourself. i have been thinking that SIM needs a bikers club; you might want to consider spearheading such a project. i know a few like-minded riders who are not afraid to ride down this treacherous path with you.

 

P.S SIM security are reminded to take down all unauthorised posters. when i left school at 1pm, it was already removed. if you'd need resources to print 100 copies to be distributed to every kid who's driving daddy's car, i'd be most happy to do so.

 

Well my philosophy is if we got a grouse with someone or something, I take action and do something about it instead of being passive like so many singaporeans.

 

My next flyer design will be much simpler... keep taking photos of the cars, make a mosiac of pics with the following tag line: CAR LOTS FOR CAR! BIKE LOTS FOR BIKES! NS FOR SINGAPOREANS! JOBS FOR AH TIONGS!(at least the ones singaporeans don't want to do! but now economy bad... so hard to say also...)

i've thought about the bikers club thing too... but come to think of it... how many are there in SIM? and in order to get "newbies" to join, they must either be riding, or at least have a license. we dont want this club to be a place for young irrational punks to ride illegally.

 

that aside... 100 copies sounds cool can place them in my box and everytime i pass by 1 daddy-driven car parked in an obstructing manner... i'll just smack 1 piece under the wiper.

 

I dono, how to go about starting such a club?? Err paste more posters??

 

hello arinto! first and foremost, u have to understand that buying a 2nd hand bike means that there are bound to be some "scars". if u want "no scars" then first hand is the way to go. but more importantly, make sure there are "no scars" on the performance of the bike.

 

to answer your question, if the scratches are minor, u have 2 options; ignore them, or buy any "scratch remover" product.

 

if the scratches are serious, u also have 2 options; ride without fairing, or purchase new ones.

Btw guys, i can feel the red fang's engine going going gone already... can feel something hitting in the engine, the clutch plate doesn't makan so well anymore (it actually slipped while i was riding today), the bike is so thristy for EO and it all comes out as white smoke (i'm riding a 4 stroker for chrissakes!!!), it stalls occasionally when i rev abit in 1st gear.... that's it already... this engine is going going gone soon... the voltage also keep over charging.

 

thinking of overhauling the engine. Just sold my YBR today so got abit of cash on hand. Pls advise parts need to be changed/checked and costs and where to do it.
