im new to bike as i juz pass my 2b, so was wondering shld I get a gts200 or wr200,

can any bros here giv some advise?

My purpose of having a bike nw is mainly for transportation frm hm to wrk, juz wanna get a bike for a short term b4 I can upgrade to 2A, n oso hope to get a bike wif less maintenance.

If you do not mind, I personally feel a kup has the least maintenance cost with abundance of spare parts in the event, a fz16 might have a higher maintenance cost if i am not wrong, (spend 1k in 6 months to service my bike cos previous owner whacked it hard for 2 years).

got alot of compartment to put my stuff .

wr200

no compartment even for a helmet.cos it will ugly if I install a box.

 

didnt knw it can b so diffcult when chosing a bike....hahaha

If you intend to go offroad, get the wr2. But bear that in mind, its a very old bike and unless you are really lucky, you will get a good condition one. Monthly 2T will burn your pocket.

 

I will suggest spend a bit more get a 4 stroke and ride safe. Bajaj, ktm and yamaha offer good 2b bikes.

Since you do have the plans to upgrade. Basically, any class 2B bike that is within your budget should work well enough for you.

 

Depending on your height, crotch to heel height is more a factor in choosing those taller bikes then what type.

 

And you mentioned using it for transport, so we need to look at storage. A basic Honda Phantom with boxes will serve well enough. Or as its mentioned, any kup kia.

 

Besides, some of us maintain two or three bikes for different purposes. If your finances allows it, then go for a Vespa for the cute as well as office looking enough and storage. Keep it as spare bike even after you upgraded.

Yes I agree with ViciousKitty! (on the keeping a spare bike)

 

But I also think getting a manual bike is better since you're intending to upgrade so why not get a bike that has good maintenance costs or maybe even a good resale value etc etc.

P.s. I got my fz16 first hand, my only maintenance so far is to change oil/filter. Each time less than $20 gao dim~

For transport gts200 is defiantly better then wr200 ... Comfort wise Gts is shiok coz scooter ... If u get scooter just go AC motor( I m just a satisfied customer last time... Change bike so nv go back )
