Please help recommend me a good commuting scooter...

Getting back to riding and looking into buying a scooter in the near future. As I have been out of touch for nearly a decade, would like to have the views and opinions of experienced scooter riders here.

These are the things I would like to have:

1) Up to class 2A only

2) Adequate leg-room, especially for the knees when riding and maneuvering (I am about 1.78m tall)

2) Good fuel economy (combined)

3) Reliable and fuss-free maintenance

4) Standard cost of wear and tear parts (not outrageously expensive to replace)

5) Stable on expressway, able to move comfortably at 90km/h (with a little bit more power to spare for overtaking purposes)

6) Able to lane split when necessary (acceptable width of scooter with side mirrors)

Appreciate any comments from all of you.

If u are looking at maxi scooter (big scooter) then a few models out there burgman 400, maxsym 400, Kymco xciting 400i. If u are looking at scooter then Vespa 300, sym joyride 300 etc. based on ur specs provided maxi scooter fits u more. You have to personally view and mount on the bike to feel the leg room. As for FC I think a 400cc bike is balanced and powerful enough, FC for scooter is rather normal as its on cvt. ( I am taking u are comparing with spark 135 )

Just my thoughts, hope it helps

Maxsym fits what you're looking for. If you're going for FC, take a good look at joyride 300.
