i took shelter at the old PA bus stop just before thomson exit, which was mebbe 200+ m away from the scene. i couldn see the scene from the bus stop, but confirm the car was towed away a few minutes later. it was a hard enough slam to need a body kit change, no way he could have driven off just like that.

donno got kena by TP anot, i couldn see, and couldn be bothered to walk back coz it had started to rain realli heavily.

I see...Most probably EMAS tow it. And with EMAS, there's no way u can escape.

Yup, EMAS is under LTA system. I don't see why they wont report this incident. There's surveillance on every expressway and their cameras is probably covering every inch of it, except for slip roads. Once there's a vehicle stationery, EMAS will arrive VERY FAST. Don't believe? Park ur vehicle on the road shoulder and act as if something is wrong with ur vehicle. Time how fast EMAS arrive. Do it at your OWN risk.

Have heard much more things about their cameras and functions, would not elaborate since it's hearsay.

Wow, the power of the camera network, no matter where u are , say cheez :giddy:

After EMAS file a record with LTA, i assume TP will get a copy

of the incident.... and investigation will follow upz.

I start to realise that the orange light in the tunnel not only

visdual friendly but also camera friendly :cheeky:

Hi can anyone enlighten how to know if a disc has been 'warped'?

when you do a firm and constant squeeze on the brake lever from medium to high speed, do you feel a definite "pulsing" from ur brake lever macam heartbeat like that?

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Physical check method:

Jack up ur front wheel.

Remove the 2 bolts (Allen Key) each side that is holding the caliper.

Hold it away from the rotors, and spin the wheel.

Observe the rotor....

My right side has very minor warp when i check my rotors. Brake pads on that caliper have obvious uneven wear. Asked my friend and he said it's the front wheel alignment problem. Followed his method to re-align my wheel.

After sometime, performed 2nd check. Rotors are still the same. Brake pads wear have significantly improved. Using visual checks, it looks pretty even.

Went to bikelab few months ago for fork servicing and asked joshua about it. He said its ok.

But i think i am still having bad braking feel during high speed braking. Didn't have any chance to really try it out. Till my tyre change (which is real soon) and PG session ba.....

Disk warp ???

Hehehehe

Most common to cause disk warp is frequent hard braking.

Like all of you who regular in sepang and PG.

From the thin side of the rotor we can't tell. Unless it very chialat.

For me I always look at the shinning surface of the rotor.

First, if one part or part of the rotor is darker than the rest.

Second, uneven surface ware not flat than other side.

Thirdly your pads itself. For some it's still thick but burn off due to never brake in properly or cheap quality pad

You can feel it while riding.

Before you reach the traffic light gently apply the brake lever.

At the middle or before completely stop you can feel the bike bite, never bite, bite, never bike. This one comfirm go and change rotor and pad together.

The best is to test it at high speed and you must make sure both pad and rotor are hot enought. I dont know how to describe leh. Furthermore I'm not a racer like all of you here

Hope this help only from my rusty quater cents.

If I'm wrong correct me :thumb:

touching on this torpic.so far i yet to sense disc warp.

but i think my steering bearing loose liao.

cos under easy braking....almost till de end...the handle will chatter.

guess too much power wheelie out from apex....

time to visit boon siew...hopefully can claim warranty.....

maybe it due to de original brake pad(my 2nd set)...which are more gentle on de rotor but always fade after 10laps.:faint:

Yeah I'm not too really sure how it 'feels' during high speed braking cos my mind is already concentrated where to negotiate that next turn during track day. Ha ha.. Cos I heard someone in the 1000RR thread saying EBC HH can cause disc to warp. My friend who tested the brakes to my bike at Sepang the other time says its ok but there's a minor wobbling (He keeps going 200km/h then jam braking with me as pillion at Nilai on the route to the circuit where there's a lot of turns). Just afraid it might get worse if I dunt rectify the problem. On the way back I didn't realise my rear pads are out so, I guess it makes it much more 'adventerous' without a rear brake.

Don't say like that ley Uncle. I ask a lot of tips from you ba...

Btw, There's getting lesser & lesser of Hondas at Sepang track day. These days, Yamahas & Suzukis rule. I was there last weekend & the ratio of bikes was about 20 Yams & Suz to every 1 Honda you know. Very sad, no kaki. So of course I need you to join me as soon as you can. Nevermind how powederful the bike. Got steady rider like you, I believe the Hondas will still be no 1. :thumb:
