It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

The OEM seat cover is like SGD$320. If you feel it's too pricey just find shops that can do the moulding & cost about half that price.

unless i kena chop big time, the bearing is different size from other standard bearing. had to wait while they order.

cone i'm not sure, tho a fren claimed that honda sportsbikes all use the same cone.

but if you're comparing to a super4 i donno.

i assume what merchwira is saying were the steering cone bearing.

this may break some ppl heart....but fact remain.

if ur bearing is working.keep it that way.

only change bearing thats showing sign of "breakdown".

most common layman feel is : when braking time....can feel the handbar viberating/chatting.(assume top fork mount/brake rotor/wheel bearing & clip-on are ok)

if "item" bough need to mod to fit into your bike means the item were not intent for your bike use !

wheel bearing - whenever change tire.just the guy to help grease it abit lor

steering cone bearing - this one tough ! cos top fork mount have to remove & alignment of front fork/wheel have to re-do.so just wait for the bearing to break then replace & regrease.:thumb:

the bearing that i mention is the wheel bearing. thats the one supposedly diff size from other bearings.

wheel bearing? the one at the Rims?

S$140?

eeeerrrrrrr.ok lor,whats done is done.

but...why change that bearing? it dun breakdown easliy.unless throw lots of "wheelie/track hard brake/many many stop-go rush" b4 the bearing break worr.

unless...u felt the chatting/virbating while braking.:cheeky:

most of de time...just re-grease when change tire.will serve u long long 1.

Actually, wheel bearings are factory greased and sealed. No maintenance is necessary till failure. However, you would wanna grease the dust seal and axle to prevent corrosion and ease installation/removal.

$140 for steering cone change is overpriced imo. Most honda bikes use the same cone bearing, even goldwing.

ok, a lot of confusion here.

i was told that i needed to change both the steering cone bearing as well as the wheel bearings, at a total cost of $140.

the wheel bearing is the one that is supposed diff size from standard wheel bearing.

the thing is, i noe that to check wheel bearing i should jack up front, get a fren to hold bars tight while i shake wheel from side to side and listen for a dull thudding sound. i have no jack and it never occurred to me to check anyway, so i took the guy's word for it. only on hindsight do i realize i shd get a 2nd opinion at my regular shop.

steering cone is the one i donno how to check and donno wat will hapen if damaged. so again i took his word for it. and again i shd go get a second opinion.
