hi pple, just brought a 600rr 06...been trying to figure out how to adjust the preload for the fork and rear....is there any guide line to follow??

i mean like riders' weight or whatsoever to take into consideration??

get used to the stock settings first. if you bought brand new, wait until after 1000km to run in the suspensions first.

what i did was ride around in my skul (NTU) on stock settings, then play around with the suspensions to see what works and what didn. on stock settings it had a scary tendency to run wide in corners. by stiffening the front and rear, i found the bike turning tighter, which was great but it was so stiff that my teeth were chattering over very uneven roads, and the front would skid a little making 90degree turns into multi-story carpark upslopes. i managed to find a compromise. its not comfortable, but its tolerable and it turns tighter than stock. you dun buy this bike for comfort after all.

but that was back when it was still running oem dunlops. ever since i fit michelins i tend to oversteer more often than understeer. i cld soften it back, but i kind of like the tight feeling....

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

i'll keep everyone updated on the tyres, assuming michelin does indeed call me back and offer a free replacement when new stock arrive.

on that note, say some thief/vandal tamper with the keyhole until it cannot be salvaged, is it possible to simply change the key hole without a change of HISS unit? what about a change of key cutting without a change of HISS unit?
