can ask u guys a noob question...how to set the rev lite???i cant seem to find a way to set it...

dont have. only the fireblade can set the rev lite.

ours can only come on at redline. which is pretty dam useless, especially since the kick from the rev-limiter is bloody obvious anyway.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

ohh....so i will oni see the lite on when i hit the red zone?? okok...at least nw i noe wat tat lite is for...thanks...

i've never seen the light come on on the road. but thats coz i dont pull beyond 120kmh on local roads. in 1st gear at redline, you'd have just gone past 150kmh. if you're in the habit of riding in excess of 150kmh on local roads, and you're going to drag 1st gear till that speed, then sure you'd see the light come on.

but like i said, the rev-limiter will more obviously tell you that you've redlined it. it'd be a little shock when you first feel it: like shutting off throttle high up on the rev range.

Dear CBR600 '07 owners...

I would like to seek some comments or advises from u pple...

I was actually wondering if any of u pple have install sliders for ur bike? May i noe wat brand is recomended and the price. Also, did u pple install sliders which need to cut away part of ur fairings? Or issit those which comes with brackets?

Which type would be more recommended? Those with brackets or those without?

I'm actually looking at motovation sliders. But i have info saying that those with brackets also hafta cut a small part of our fairings. But i heard that motovation is trying to improvise the brackets which can be install without having to cut our fairings. Mite take up to end of this yr. But wat i heard is that the brackets wun be that strong to withstand a skid coz it will be made thinner.

Wat are ur opinions??

Other bike owners, ur comments and advises would be most welcome too...

Thx...

Ha ha ha...Bro seeking advise here is unlikely to get answers leh...

I do recommend you Motivation Or Evo Tech...Best if you willing to spend a little bit more to get those with brackets so no need to cut your fairing...

The reason why I will show you when we meet up on Friday...here very hard to show you...

150kmh? I can only squeeze out 120kmh on my first for my 04. Is there so much difference between 03-04 and 05? or perhaps it's due to my sprocket change? Any other riders care to share?

When the rev-limiter comes on, it just feels like u have stopped increasing throttle even though u did not. That's for me.....Not so bad in my opinion. Shutting off throttle at rpms close to/at redline will result in a rapid & huge drop in speed, which is rather dangerous. Exactly what a super4 vtec would experience for the speed limiter.

I felt that the light do come up a little earlier before the limiter kicks in. Might be useful while u are on straights, not so much in the corners though.

early bird nehh brO NjOy :p

bRos...but wen i do red lining...i do not experience any shutting off of the engine n stuffs...

its juz the natural twist of the right hand to 'blip' for another gear to be kicked down..(inverted gear)

but i experinced tat momentum wen i ride on my frens S4...

squeeze out evry of the gear but to have lagging @ the last moments..

is it bcoz his air/oil mixture not balanced....coz he changed to an aftermarket slip on YOSHI..

for my ride..havent not experience yet..

advices pls bro.. :thumb:

The speed difference due to sprocket change is nt reflected in the speedo if you do not have a calibrator. With the 03 to 06 having the same internal gear ratio and redline, the speed displayed when at rev limiter should be the same.
