get on that bike..... and rite from the very first corner of ur RR's virgin ride, you will discover this bike's cornering is simply superb, that corners are what the RR was made for. the front feels planted, it instils confidence in the rider. surely all fellow RRiders will back me up on this.

Yeah, but this sounds like an article from a bike mag, lol.

lolz...it dunno the "rider"(me) can take the corner anot.....lolz

new tire...still got wax on de surface...have to ride atless 100km to "wear off" the wax worr...or else...it "no longer" a corner....but slide liao.:faint:

some more 1st 100km.....soft run-in....haizz...but boonsiew got such service that they deliver de bike to u for a fee(S$60).....maybe ask them deliver to my carpark then...after i found my "balls" to ride...then i start de RR5.lolz :faint:

It's not really about how much mileage u travelled. It's about progressively taking a little more lean angle at a time to wear out the wax.

I wonder if u have take a look at mechwira's front tyre. The right side obviously still have wax on it even though he clock few thousands klicks on that pair of rubbers. So it's definately not safe to go harsh on a right corner by using the method of '100km to wear off new tyres' logic.

yeah the phrasing is from the mags, guess i got influenced by the lingo. but this is really how it feels man. ever since i ride this bike i begin to understand wat all those mags talking about.

actually i donno why my front tyre still got the orange line. u should have compared my front with my rear. the rear's range line had long since disappeared and u can clearly see i lean up to 1cm further out from the orange line. yet front tyre's sides still got wax.

of coz i dun pedal scrape on road, but i wonder if its got to do wif my cornering style. i handle-bar steer almost everywhere i go.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

hmmmm.....maybe some detail will clear de mist.

Tire wax - it a thin layer of wax to preserve/protect the tire during transportion.it normally 1~2mm thick only. either wash it away b4 install on Rims w degreaser or do "Zip-Zap" riding for about 10 lap within a normal carpark(hot & dry day) will "Wear" the wax away.

Tire tread mark - it those color line/tread that run across the tire.the purpose of the "markers" were to check for compond defect during production period.the painted treads will wear itself off within 1k km distance/usage

Tire min-nipples/hair - it those mini-spear/hair which is mostly on the side profile/edge of a tire.those are actually mold injection inlet "leftover" metarial.it harmless if the said tire were used on normal tamac road surface.however,it best to remove those "mini-nipples/hair" if sole purpose is to use on sepang track.of course a PG rough surface track will "remove" those hairs too.

those "Wax on edge" type? use degreaser plue a toothbush/softhair bush to wash away lor.then the tire will not have "two-tone" color effect.

in SG how many corner can u do lean riding when the road surface has so much painted surface/rocks/stone/pebble/misc on it?

end of day most rider also do handle-bar turning mah.so u not alone......:nono:

Sportbike: His tyre still got colour line, too obvious not i observant.

Oh, i didn't take a look at ur rear tyre.

Yeah, it has to do with riding style. By observing at one's tyre, can roughly know how the person ride. And by using 'handle bar' to make a turn, u have lesser lean angle (lesser use on sides of the tyre), very good to get more traction during wet.

sori bros...

wen i juz changed my new tyres...

i go to play 'kite' @ south buona vista road....(a.k.a GAP)

From what i have read b4, the main purpose of the wax is for easily removal of the tyre from the mold during manufacturing. Protecting of the tyre during transportation comes from the packaging?

The lines can also proves that the tyres have never been used....

Ah, now i know why there are 'hairs' on tyres, thanks!

there is mainly two option on shipping of tires(for car/bike)

#1- alu foil wraping - high cost but able to provide better heat protection.(dun forget tires dun take aeroplanes..they sit inside contianers in ships.)

#2- bare tire w thicker Wax - low cost ,mainly seen on average product range.subject to almost anything exposed.

*Wax as mention here itself is kind of multi purpose in this instant lor.

tires like all "rubber" product has "shell-life" & "storage-life" b4 it degrade(aka harden).

of course different mfger's compond additive can/will prolong the aging process BUT it remains a RUBBER product. :nono:
