Guys in the 2013 version there is a piece of aluminium beside the pillow footrest, had any one tried taking it out?? It look so cheapo on it sia u can even see the bending lines on the aluminium

it can easily take out but u will feel the heat from the mid pipe.. u wan loo altas than u can go wrap it!

how come cbr1000 look shorter than cbr600 de ar???

baojian - u mean seat height or wheelbase.. is about the same for the seat height.

 

R6 also look shorter then most bike but end up is so much taller then i expect.

baojian - buy cbr1k sp version.. hear that is really good.. but u cannot pillon.. really just for road / track use..

 

if not be like me lor.. but a daytona 675r.. everything in dont need to think abt mod wat or do anything to it..

Hi all, I have a slight issue on my '05.

 

When I turn the key on to ignition everything comes out well, but when I hit the start I hear a click from just under where the battery sits, and than the Neutral Light fades out while having the oil light blinking. I've checked the oil levels and all seem good. I recently had the relay changed out.

 

What I noticed is:

 

- If I pushed started the bike or jumped it, everything starts up perfectly and the bike's good to run

 

- Also I noticed if I kicked the stand up and down couple times, the neutral light comes out as normal bright and strong and the bike starts up easily.

 

So gathering that, I replaced the side stand switch, but the problem still persist.

 

Any input is appreciated.

I am serious... But still if u ask me i will still prefer a honda bike.. less problem as compare to the ang mo bike...

Haiz I am daman scare that I will regret buying cause of the riding posture as compare to z800 cause I plan to ride up north at most to genting with my group of bikers friends but I like the outlook of this bike and the reliability of honda.

i did 1 x thailand on my cbr600.. lost count of dunno how many time within malaysia and 1 x thailand on my daytona 675. If u compare z800 vs cbr600 on touring purpose then of cause go for a z800.

Hi nabil15, I'm no expert but I had a similar problem with by '06 a few months ago in the Cameron Highlands. There could be a number of causes. One might be the encoding on your key might have been scrambled a bit and the HISS system is jamming. You can test whether this is the problem by trying the spare key. If you still have the problem, then you've ruled that out. Assuming, your battery is fully charged, it could just be the solonoids on the battery so check them for corrosion and give them a scrub with a wire brush to clean them. If they are heavily corroded have them replaced and see if that makes a difference. If not, then you've ruled that out. Mine turned out to be the starter motor having worn out. Mine is a '06 with about 65,000km on the clock and the starter carbon is a wear and tear part. Yours is '05 so it could be the same issue. If it is, then the starter motor will need to be replaced. It's located deep inside the bike under the petrol tank and engine - everything has to come off so expect a lot of labour charges and you'll need to confirm your workshop will have the part ordered in advance. No guarantee that it really is the starter motor though. So best to just bring it to your workshop and have them figure it out for you so you don't waste time and money on parts that may not be the problem. I recommend Hock at Combine Motors at Sin Ming Autocare on the second level. Best bike mechanic in Singapore and he'll figure it out quick enough.

anyone using HRC racing damper on cbr 600. this model 53700-MFJ-R01 part no. if have do let me know cos i wan to use and need to check wheather need to change the harness to HRC harness.
