Yah price has shot up to bout 1.90 rm per litre..Full tank about 30rm :cry:

Anyway, I wish to re-calibrate my injectors. The firing seem a bit different ley, where else other than Unity can do the setting? My bike reaching 47K mileage liow, need to do valve clearance also...

hi guys ... im riding a 05 model cbr 600rr..

just recently .. my battery died on me when i was in jb... luckily its was able to be pushed start .... cant even imagine if im stuck in jb with my bike ....

i've been riding my bike since last august, had 18k on it .. but wat worring me ...

is im abit paranoid dat its my magneto coil which is failing me and not my battery..

i had my battery changed .. anyone here experience burnt coils like those 1000 rr ???

05 model? i assume the bike still have boonsiew warranty.

 

if u had change battery b4...why not push in boonsiew & claim warranty?

 

according to de workshop guy at boonsiew..they claim de 600 dun have the burn coil problem like de 1K RR. :sian:

i went around n ask abt brake pad

Stock pad cos 60++

oem only less then 15

stock pad = original honda parts?

OEM = aftermarket brand non-racing type?

 

*1 thing i learn in de course of motoring.... OEM non-racing pad are cheap(in compare with original)...but if the pad "wear" the disc rotor in faster rate then design.the cost of replacing the rotor+new pad will be more EX then original pads.

 

*we aint talking abt racing pads hor.those are different...it offer better performance in expends of duration lifespin.

but again....EBC were know to "eat rotor".(but that was like 5yrs ago...dunno abt now).

 

unless i hardcore trackie...i think i would stick to original parts.:sweat:

I took over my bike at 22K+ mileage. The battery was changed. Probably u can check the voltage of ur batt without engine running and with engine running if u are technical enough. It's very simple actually.

 

I now have a charger with me which i charge the battery sometimes to keep the battery healthy. The battery lifespan depends alot on ur riding ex. RPM, distance travelled per trip, etc.

I think original pads are good enough. The minimum should be Gold Fren S3 Racing or anything thats Made In Japan will be ok...
