now the thing tt worries me is the seat height,

the GTR feels a bit too high for me,

any ppl who are finding the hight a problem?

 

Plz enlighten. cuz i`m rather short, only 1.7

or rather, short LEGZ.

do really hope i can join u all for a meeting or something like tt,

so that i can hear the engine and see u all ride,

 

anyway i sold my current ride,

 

now it`s a matter of STX or GTR..

height wise, you can always adjust the pre-load to suit your height, or you can get the after-market seats by Corbin(not sure about the spelling)...

hear the engine??? you got to put your head next to the engine to hear it!!!

btw i roughly make the FC for GTR.

 

22 litres = 400km/h +/-

 

Around 17-19km per litre

 

i am still using mineral oil though. My travelling speed is 100km-110km on expressway. 50-80km on normal road.

im also very short, but sit on the gtr, i can still flat foot pedal.

 

 

stx is also a very gd touring bike.

and i believe a 28L tank??

I purchased the Corbin seat (see attached file), your pillion will thank you for it, far more stable and comfortable for touring but same for pilot, the gel will contour your butt after 3 days of riding!!!

It does lower the seat height by 3 cm so now flat foot when idle, much easier for backing up.

 

However like Kaozie said it is not cheap!

 

Front and rear are 500 USD, I opted for the Corbin back rest so add 250 USD for that.

 

So exact total was 767 USD as shown on pix + 40 USD to ship to US postal address then add 220 SGD of shipping to Singapore (used Vpost USA) far cheaper than Corbin's quote+ 70 SGD GST.

 

So changing at 1.40 SGD to the USD

 

Total is 1419 SGD, expensive lah...

Definitely well worth every cent!!

THe corbin seat is a good investment! i wanna order it too!. Did you give them the measurement to customise your seat? or they used the dimension for the stock seat?

Dimension of your butt is not necessary, they have all the necessary info, just state the color and the make and year of the bike, that's it!!!

looks like they are replacing the Silver with Burgundy, still only two colors to chose from.
