yea, it looks like it came from the $2 shop.

 

i agree, the screen even in the highest setting is still low.

but im sure givi or other 3rd parties will come up with taller screens in no time.

I ordered the seat from Corbin.

The high touring screen already exists from the European Kawasaki dealer tough, Loois told me that they will not import any accessories coz market is too small.

 

My OTR was 29500.

By the way did you put any deposit to reserve your bike? If not you should coz first come first served.

 

I put a 1000 SGD deposit and got mine in 6 weeks, but I had no issue with the color, as black was the color i wanted and the import lot was black...

i waited for 4 mths... :sian:

that silver you saw is MINE... :angel:

does that makes me the only silver on the road???

OOps! dat was the silver I sat on, played with the windscreen, LCD panel, Kipass, glove box and panniers and revved it to hear the sound on Wed :p

I wanted to put a deposit but he said no as he cannot confirm the date or colour of the next bike that arrives.

 

If there is anyone wanted to trade or sell theirs, let me know ok?

pondering over C14 or the Z14...how different are the rides?

 

Both are quite different. To compare them would be like comparing a Blackbird to an STX.

 

Just that both Kawasakis happen to have much more power and character.

I've modded my ZX14 to somewhat approach the touring capabilities of the Concourse (screen, boxes etc), but I can still take them off and do trackdays. But you cannot mod the concourse to go round corners like the ZX14 can.

 

End of the day its up to individual's preferance.

But for abt 2g's more, u get the side boxes, mini glove box, kipass system, electric windscreen and shaft driven system, tyre pressure sensors, aux pwr socket..............

Tis bike is going to give the STX n the FJR a run for its $ .

 

Anyway , can the side boxes of the Concourse accomodate a full face helmet ? The size of tis bike is oso anothe rfactor i have to cosider if i were to get tis bike . Might not handle it .

Actually, its only 1.5k more. And I definately spent more than 1.5k on my box, rack, screen, scottoiler....

 

But nomather how much money you spend, you can't get your GTR to do this. :D

The Kawasaki Kipass sytem looks innovative . But how does it work ? Wonder if we will get 2 Kipass when we buy the bike .

yes it can contain a full-face helmet inside...

the size is about that of STX and FJR, but the weight is a killer when stationary...

but once on the move, even in low speed, its very agile...

:D

think should not be a problem, with its 190 rear, traction is good during corners...

my rear tyre has about 1inch left to the edge, and i'm still running-in... :D

seems u guys comparing over this 2 bikes,both have they pros and con.

i rode sportbike before,doing trackdays not a issue but when come to touring

i really hate and envy my kakis those riding tourer,

 

Disadvantage on sportbike.

every 500km need to lubricate chain(never install scottoiler)

carrying luggage is an issue as no saddle bag.

riding posture tiring for long distance.

need top up fuel every 240km/h depending on speed.

need squat down for high speed above 180km/h.

 

bottom line,i prefer c14 for it's oustanding performance.

How many kms have you ridden your GTR? Have you toured already in Malaysia? What top speed have you reached?

 

I am going myself to Malaysia this week end to push it a bit, but i m still in the 6000 RPM, so 500kms more then all the way to the red zone!!!

The weight is one thing tat have kept me away from tourers . N having to balance tis heavy bike on juz the tip of my toes isnt going to be fun . Esp wif a pillion . :weep:
