its safe but bring additional lock to play safe. i always bring s xena disc lock with me. ^_^

Date: 5th - 7th March 2010

Distance: 600km (to)

Travelling time needed: Minimum 5 hours (including pits stop)

Class of bilke - Minimum class 2a. Super four series performance

Travelling speed - 130km/h (min)

Maximum - 10 bikes

Closing application date - 28 Feb 2010

 

PS - I have done trips to mersing, kluang, lake kenyir resort, port dickson, sunway lagoon and cameron highland. BUT i still lack of experience in organising good bike trips. I seek your understanding. ^_^. Sometimes you may have to do U-Turns. As much i can do to ensure every bikers safety, every bikers should also do their part to take care of each other on the road. Good riding attitude and be patience.

Yo sorry to get back to you late.... My friend's zumo 550 also had this problem. What I did was plug in the GPS on to the PC and you will see 2 drives the Zumo's internal drive and the SD card. I went into the internal drive and there was a gmapsupp.img file. I back up the file into another drive just in case and deleted the file. Reboot the Zumo and ran the maps no problems. Maybe you would like to try this. I actually ran the MFM maps onto the SD card. So if I were to head to Thailand and further I can use another set. Try this maybe it should work.

 

the MFM map can be used either on the SD card or the garmin's internal memory.

 

it is the latter that I used, as it runs faster than on the SD card.

 

after downloading the map, proceed to do the installation in your PC.

after installation, copy the gmapsupp file from the C:\garmin to the garmin directory in the GPS itself.

 

works fine to a tee, but an icon galore.
