Whats the distance you all can travel with your first tank?? Currently i hit 200km and its in the 2nd last bar.. Hmmmmmm.. Not use to compare with my STx 29L 400km tank.

You are still run-in stage the petrol will be very erratic. Just enjoy the run-in process.

 

I can cover 300km @ 16L presently riding in Singapore.

Mine is 19l-21l per km. Normally the reserve kicked in at around 320km

abt 390km full tank for city riding

 

 

hwy riding varies from 310km-455km full tank.

met a fellow gtr rider who has frame issues with his i think '08/'09 model.

 

the exposed frame around the gear selector lever is orignally made at an angle.

 

since he has had 0 accidents or drops since he had the bike new, the frame is starting to crack at the point of welding.

 

guys, pls check your bike.

Btw liquid is leaking near my exhaust header. Non greasy and non soupy feel. Odorless also. When the engine get hot, these liquids will evaporate into smoke away quickly.

 

The sympton also kicked in when i don ride my bike for days.

 

any views? i read that it could be condensation between the hot engine and cooler temperature when the bike stopped running.

looks like coolant leak and its only down one particular header.

i think i know where is the place. Near to the gear level side, you will notice there is X type of welding frame (slightly beside the rider foot peg. Porbably the welding at the X is giving way already.

Radiator is leaking from coolant.

The tube inside maybe be lossen.

didnt have the luxury to ask him that as we had a very short conversation on the fly.

 

hopefully it does not end up like the fazer story where a couple of frames in Spore completely cracked n gave way at a similar location

Okie, bike front fairing (both side) has been removed. Radiator ok. Coolant ok. Coolant pipe also ok. Inside the bike, there is this stopper on top of the radiator. From the look of it, its function seems to block the engine oil from leaking out. Engine oil was leaking from it ah. Sealant was applied and now have to wait few days again.

for those GTRs more then 1yr old, pls go have your exhaust header nuts checked...

mine were found to be loosen...

 

could be the reason for oil stain on your header... had this problem also...

 

if you guys are looking to change your battery, better go find it NOW... cos no stock... and be prepare to PAY!!!

My coolant reserve was down to the bottom mark. Better keep an eye on you spare tank as the fan always kicks in when the engine gets too hot. I had it topped up...

I tried several downloads but were successful.

Yo sorry to get back to you late.... My friend's zumo 550 also had this problem. What I did was plug in the GPS on to the PC and you will see 2 drives the Zumo's internal drive and the SD card. I went into the internal drive and there was a gmapsupp.img file. I back up the file into another drive just in case and deleted the file. Reboot the Zumo and ran the maps no problems. Maybe you would like to try this. I actually ran the MFM maps onto the SD card. So if I were to head to Thailand and further I can use another set. Try this maybe it should work.

what is engine oil doing in your radiator??

 

the engine oil not in my radiator ah. Radiator did not kanna anything at all. The liquid drip onto the first exhaust header and flowed down. When the bike was stripped, i could see engine oil (black stuff) still dripping from the stopper.
