I saw a FY-plate Honda Twister 250 at White Sands B1 car park. Looks like a smaller version of the Hornet 600, but without radiator. Anyone riding this bike, how is it compared to the Hornet 250?

Thanks for the "overwhelming" info! Any Twister owners here? Since it should be a good budget bike.

Maybe comparing the Twister and Hornet 250 would be "fairer" as both at 250cc bikes.

But so far no response from Twister owners...

the twister is just a commuter bike therefore underpower.

no point comparing it between a s4 and hornet. the s4 and hornet are of better perormance or u can call it higher priced commuter bike.

Well, in terms of looks and performance, twister will definitely lose to Hornet and S4. Although never tried hornet, but i think hornet should be more powerful. Twister will be a good choice if u're looking for something which is low maintenance and fuel eco. Only need to change 1 spark plug and less than 2 bottles of engine oil (about $20 per servicing). All wear and tear parts like chain and brakes are also cheaper. Runs up to 490Km full tank...think can go more but i scared later must push bike so never really run till dry. Full tank about 15 litres.

Need something powerful? Not this bike!! Something practical? I strongly recomend it. Cos it's cheap too...i'm selling mine (FW) COE till 05/2013 $4500.

Jus to share my view on all these bike though almost everything has been mentioned already.

Hornet n S4 can be compared. for 250cc hornet is a naked sports bike almost as powerfull as a S4 by specs. From trying my frens bikes S4 all version except spec3 ver R, Hornet handlin is solid.

So i believe its more eco to have a hornet then a S4 yet not lose out on thrills n top speeds with a hornet n yet with a better handling(mainly because of monoshock design).

If u wan to be more eco ard phantom 200 standard...but wan to get something bigger in CC n a street bike...twister 250 is it. Slightly more powerfull then phantom n consumption jus slightly higher than or ard the same as phantom.

:btw: i saw a hornet going for 4K FS plate i think. try searching the garage sales. Quite a gd bike n seems like the owner mainteined it well.

agree :thumb: man!.. thx for the info.. personally i love this bike alot, too bad haven get 2A.. the FS hornet i thot sold oledi? can paste the link here... alot of ppl say tt hornet250 is not gd as parts are diff to get, well, if there;s ducati n cagiva, y not hornet? i feel its unfair to compare it wit S4 as many ppl suggest 2A should go for S4, tt juz difrent style. then clz2 muz go for busa or HD? lol.. duno how these ppl think... :sian: ...

One thing we have to understand when ppl say its difficult to get normally means its more ex or dun have chiong parts cos the bike is not popular model. My Bandit VV also ppl say same thing very rare bike cannot find parts...basically its true to a certain extent u can't jus go to anyshop to get parts but agent will sure have them.(which cost more)So if u like the bike u will do anything for it. As for S4...its a gd reliable bike but its jus too over-rated regarding performance. Well choices are there for CL 2A but it all depends on individual pereference.

:thumb: agree!!.. its all up to personal prefrence.. S4 is well like by majority, but there are still fans for hornet. ..
