hey guys m keen in gettin a external hard-drive.... say 20 or may b 40 gb.... may b u guys can giv me some info.... like which brand to purchase n how much do they roughly cost.... tanxx....

Basically, you need to know that there are 3 various sizes to date. 1.8", 2.5" & 3.5". The smaller they are, the higher the price. The 3.5" is quite big and require a power adapter to work. Most of the time, people wants portability, thus they get the 2.5".

 

I would advice you to get Seagate Harddisk as they are more reliable.In Sim Lim they sell two kinds, one already assembled, and the other can DIY a bit. As for the casing, try to get a good one within the range of $60, if DIY. Before buying, do walk around in Sim Lim you will never know that there are other shops selling cheaper for the same product.
