what to hint?!

So it was me u are talking about....yup i wore a half face helmet whenever i go trip...cos i am the poorest here mah...i cant afford to buy SUCH an expensive helmet to wear mah...wait till the day i have the money i will go get one for myself....

tink of the reason behind ....WHO DUNO SAFETY MUST COME FIRST....BUT not everybody can afford that kind of full face helmet pricing....

and i trust my rider that he will put his and my safety first when he ride...

i have to agree with you, i always tell joey that we have to live within our means... and not everyone can drive a ferrari. if you can drive one, good for you... but for the rest of people who cannot, live still goes on. there is no shame in not able to afford a FF helmet.

it is better to live in your means than to be who you are not (eg by borrowing money from others to buy expensive things that you will ordinary not afford).

but then again, for you is really not an excuse, like i mentioned before... i do have the OGK FF4 in 'L' size... you want can always take and use. it has been at my place collecting dust since you returned me donkey months ago... i pass it to you the next outing, and you get used to wearing it and wear it for the songkran trip lah...

suddenly this place becomes a discussion thread for raincoats... kekeke...

anyway, i am also looking for a better raincoat for joey, she complains that her current one is moderately thin, so if heavy rain, although she does not get wet, but the she can feel the raindrops hitting...

but again, she dun want those super thick one cos too hot to wear inside for light rain...

any good suggestion?

i'm having the same concern as u.. too thin, will hurt from the raindrops.. too thick, too warm... haiz..

its alway best if the suit is nicely fit to the jacket/ armour jacket
IF you dun want to waste you $$$
if its loose, the wind will causes the suit to flap and eventully it will tear itself apart

ann knows i'm broke after my recent enrolment in SIC.. that's why she is very particular abt what i'm buying for her.. anything too ex, she wants to pay for herself or split half half.. i dont want her to pay cos each of us have certain commitments on our own.. this is why i need to ask abt the drymaster raincoat, ie, for touring and sg usage.. she already disagree to the arai mesh jacket and raincoat thingy.. helmet also dont want to buy.. so i have to force her to wear my syncrotec when riding up.. hehe.. boy is she gonna faint..

a helmet left lying around too long also will spoil.. might as well borrow frm kenneth.. but need to get used to la.. if not u sure feel very uncomfortable.. esp when u need to use it for touring..

yeah. got once EXTREMELY heavy rain ba. xiufeng was drenched.

but its only once, so i think its EXTREMELY lor. haha.

you can ask them for a test try

i find it very hard to differentiate from drymaster and drymasterX leh. mine also quite compact leh....

so i also dono mine is drymaster or drymasterX. haha.

yup.. i am using one right now.. good under the rain and bad under the sun.. and i kinda agree with xx.. after some time, it tends to give way.. mine starting liao.. but i guess most raincoat will too after some time..

ya. depending on how fast it gave way wad.

good things dont come cheap. cheap things dont come good.

yup.. there are rjays, arai, gpr(just to name a few) mesh armour jacket which are going for $100-$150 range.. for sg riding not so bad.. but soft armour makes storage a little prob(even though i got box)..

and ya.. my idea of practical is somewhat similiar to urs.. duel purpose.. not so much of everyday use in sg cos she can wear cardigan(hope i spelled it right) here.. main thing is good enough for touring..

but if u want to count the save money, think not quite saving.. arai armour jacket cost abt $110.. then if u get a arai raincoat, $70.. it sums up to $180.. ur drymaster itself, if not wrong, cost abt $180(with ref to jap website)..

ya. so u can only get ONE lor. u wan armour, good for NSHW, but not good on daily SG use. dowan armour, good for daily sg use, but no good for NSHW.

i also think alot on this b4 i buy.

rainbuster is definately out.. will get a cheap 30bucks raincoat instead..

drymaster.. motorworld selling $125.. dont think its $80.. judging from the looks on the website.. looks like arai one.. but got back zipper for air venting...

drymaster X got 2 models also.. one is what xx is wearing, the other is what u are talking.. i might decide on xx's kind cos look more chio..

either way, wait this weekend bring ann down to motorworld then say.. scarly i fan jian, in the end settle for an arai mesh and normal raincoat(it might just happen)..

so have to choose lor.
