hence am i right to say that if you wanna get a touring helmet, the striker is definetly not the one to get...but what if i am using it on a almost daily basis where i travel to and fro work and sometimes on outings, would it be good to get it?

tis depends on how much ur head worth... hehe joking la.. tis sentence always hear from bike instructors... anyway RJAYS is a pretty good quality helmet for those who has low budget to get a full face. but of cos best is still ARAI la... so anyway normal rides from home to work and outings still good to use a rjays fullface lo.

prince_eward -> bro, sorry that if u get mixed up, we were talkin about airoh helmets.

not rjays striker.

so far no1 has taken striker for trips yet. only bro wildcard taken rjays striker to second link and satisfy with it, pls read older posts.

for airoh helmets, they looks cool, and nice fit to person, (rjays striker is bigger shell, kinda astronaut if u r small size person).

just a coincidence that previous airoh users changed to rjays striker, so post are mixed up about review.

:)

dEeldo -> i managed for 2 trips with airoh tyger, sold off to dirt biker.

ah_vic81* -> i heard marushin helmets are very quiet. care to share ur review ?

right...

i came to know marushin helmets while travelling in HK.

saw the dragon, tiger, ninja and samurai on display.

bought the samurai one converted to sg abt $250.

anyway i used it for around 2 mths . sound proof better compared to rjays and surprisingly its lighter . haven tried riding it tru 2nd link so dunno how it reacts when in high speed but while travelling at 90 to 100 km/h still pretty good.

so below are the few pics of marushin helmets.

Heyos all.

I heard my name got mentioned... :)

Yes, I took it for a few blasts into 2nd Link.

Very satisfied with it.

Its not as quiet as I wanted it to be. But its still a lot quieter than my Arai.

Pretty comfortable and light enough for my head.

But I can fit in my Sony-Ericsson in-ear earphones which acts like ear-plugs. Totally cancels out everything except my humming engine.

For the price I got it at, I'm using it as a daily helmet as well as touring and soon to be some track days.

The insides can totally be removed.

20 seconds later, I have the cheekpads and the head liner out.

30 seconds later, back in 1 piece.

The visor is just as easy to take out. Though putting it back in is a bit of extra work.

I'm thinking of buying spare dark visors and spare internals so I can regularly clean and wash them while wearing the helmet daily.

If Regina can sell the spares cheaply, this is a totally worth-the-value helmet.

hahaha, same way i feel it.. :p especially when u wear just tshirt, feel like i become an antz... :p

but if u have rain coat or riding jacket, there aint not much different,

especially with Rjays octane jacket which makes u look like muscular with wide shoulders... will look good with Rjays striker helmet.

i can fit my okaleys with striker so wont be getting smoke visors soon :)

Hello All,

Just bought a new Striker helmet at Regina yesterday.

Tried a ton of FF helmets and this one felt best, even better than the $800 Arai or $400 Shoei I tried. Each head is different so you really have to try.

For $200 I got the Striker Blaze Grey which is perfect match for my X1R 135.

Helmet feels very solid and quiet, and pretty cool.

Getting my oakleys in is a bit tight for now, but I think should get a little easier with time!

Oh, and my wife loved the design on the helmet!

As far as I am concerned a $200 helmet with DOT, Snell AND the PSB sticker that feels this good is almost too good to be true!

Of course, the fact that Rjays is such an unknown brand I think is the key to keeping it cheap for now!

cheers and safe riding to all!

I agree on this part.

All the necessary safety certifications for $200 is a bargain indeed.

You are getting the same protection as any $400, $500 or even $700 helmet.

The statement of "your head is worth the price of your helmet" is outdated and plain wrong.

Hype and marketing forces at its very best.

Unknown brand it may be but consider this:

AGV was a brand only Ah-Peks & uncles on RXZs and cubs used as their helmets.

Suddenly Rossi was wearing an AGV and you suddenly see it popping up everywhere and priced ridiculously high.

So means to say if Casey Stoner were to switch to Rjays (both being Australians), means Rjays are suddenly the safest helmet in the planet?

Good buy and hope you are as happy as I am with my plain Striker.

Now considering a TourTech flipup for my wife....
