After putting his bike overnight to fix some electricals and servicing, Adam rode to meet us at Harbourfront as usual. Then his bike died and cannot be started. We did all sorts of tricks in the book - all cannot. His new horns werent working as well, though the battery was fine. Apam shined his torch, we saw there was one tube that wasnt connected to the carburettor. Koon came over by car with his tools, tidied up the electricals, carburettor tubing, and changed spark plug - which i thought should be done during servicing.

Read somewhere that even good wrench do fail, meaning that even good mechanics do screw up, but what makes one real good is that he owns up.

Given the benefit of doubt he is human afterall and has plenty of bikes to deal with.

In the same article read that one should not go touring soon after a major job on the bike, so good thing that it happened at harbour front and not Mersing, Kota Tingi or even Ayer Bukit Hitam. For by then Koon has to get a Helicopter.

I just love the looks, feel and sound of an old good Guzzi, though it has been around since the time of my Grandfather. I guess "they" don't do things like that anymore! Well it's not true.

"They" still do URALS

There is an icreasing number of vandalism cases in public carparks nowadays. And i got a taste of it today morning, before i left for work.

Someone bombarded a mixture of what seems like flour and water (hopefully not anthrax) on my bike, the car beside it, and the next following car. Quite a lot. Took photo, told TC to make them aware, they told me straight in the face they dont care and it's police matter. I called police when i was at work and they asked me to submit photos and make a report after work. They also sent some men down to my carpark to investigate.

One word for vandalizers: Chéebye..

yo YAS Sorry to hesr about that, but thank God it's flour and water.

Plenty of psychos around coz there is an increase in vandalism alot lastly.

Not shure wether it helps much but prob. if you cover they might avoid your bike, or worse (God forbit )slash the cover.

There is no telling what goes in a crooked mind.

Take care every one

Bro, take care man... Was really full of anger and pity when you told me about it last time. Singapore is safer than many other countries like jB mentioned, but very far from perfect.

The rain helped me liao. I'm not a believer of using jet sprays.. Never used and never will.

Thanks man. Bike covers would work, but within this year itself, 3 of my covers got stolen at my carpark eventhough i tied them, stained them, sprayed my bike number all over them. My bike wasnt the only one.

Yesterday was a terrible day for me.

Later in the day, one of my most precious (and potentially irreplaceable) new accessories got stolen at work. I work at a Primary School, no kids around coz theyre having holidays. Not foreign workers coz theyre all old Indians who ride dirty kups. The suspects, according to the Security Guards: This Indian parent of a student who came in with his Yamaha cruiser to buy books for the child, and a young malay chap who rides a Phantom to buy books for his brother/sister.

Oh anyway i saw a nasty chain of collisions involving around 8-9 cars at BKE exit to KJE today at 7.45am. Prolly the front one did an e-brake and the others didnt react well enough.

Petrol cap cover thingy which i've bugged DragonLee for since the first time i met him. If anyone knows how it looks like and sees it on a Phantom, please take it away and call me ASAP. and kick the bike down and note down the plate number.

Oh ya i forgot, i saw Silent Hunter at Civic Centre yesterday evening, didnt say hi though, he was like rushing off.

No. It's like a black tupperware cover that covers the petrol cap. The top has a Maltese cross and skulls. It's black and red. Exact one in DragonLee's gallery if you can source it, but the gold is red now.
