decided to sell my bike away. stop riding for the moment...

'they' give you a chance, you don't play with it. =)

fall once and give up riding? no offence but you should, because if you fear and ride you'll just be a road hazard to others if you know what I mean.

sometimes its not that 'they' gave you chances, recall how you ride and what happened. Reflect, it'll help ;)

get well soon soccer player,

i'm super lucky to escape with abrasions, i mean, if i landed anywhere 10cm off my position, i could break something, or even worse.

i'll be back riding but not anytime soon, i need time to recover from this incident. + the main thing is i couldn't afford the repair anymore.

WILL BE BACK!

haha trace back on what happened dude, and what could be prevented etc. It'll do you good and help you on your mental recovery too :]

will be good to see you soon again on the court or on the road

anyway replay and I saw some soccer skills on screen just now :lovestruck:

I was also involved in an accident recently. Got hit by a car due to a bad error in judgement on my part. Was very lucky to get away with only minor injuries, but my bike suferred badly in the cosmetics department & will cost me almost a full month's salary to fix.

Nonetheless, I'm taking this as a very expensive lesson & in a way, it enrichens my riding portfolio (lol). The pain in the wallet will make sure this lesson is one I am not likely to forget. The thing that pisses me off the most now is that my mistake will result in me being bikeless for at least 2 months. I just wanna be riding again ASAP.

Nonetheless, your decision to take a break is also a prudent one. I'm too passionate a biker to go 2 bikeless months without a lot of cussing & taking public transport causes me too much unproductive time.

We learn as we ride.... :goodluck: to you

Like I mentioned in another thread, whenever an incident occurs, it's up to the individual whether he feels he is capable of carrying on or not. No one will think any worse of you if you follow through with your decision, and I'm sure many will wish you well.

But if I were you, I'd wait for a few weeks to a month. See whether the 'gian' to ride comes back. I've been in many accidents myself, the worst saw my collarbone fractured. On the night of the accident, my mum scolded me and made me promise to stop riding. At that point of time, I was also thinking 'ya..better stop riding'.

But barely 1 month down the road, the itch come back liao. The moment I can lift up my arm high enough to hold handlebar, I take my bike out for a spin liao. So don't make a decision you'll regret. Life's too short for regrets.
