On the ignition, Use a multimeter to test if the battery is charging when u open ur throttle.. If not charging, could be ur rectifier of fuse all this.. If not u check ur battery.. See whats the voltage of the battery itself(switch off ignition)..

I believed that ur recent installation of the bike alarm is draining the battery.Disconnect the alarm 1st and try to recharge the battery after the bike has started.

Then you can troubleshoot was causing the battery to be drained out..

Cheers..

When you turn on ignition key did the Speedometer and Tachometer needle sweep twice? If it did that means your battery is dying. Get a new battery asap. If turn on ignition key and the meters' needle doesn't move at all and no lights, battery is dead.

Avoid push start your S4 unless emergency. If can't start try to troubleshoot your bike prob asap...

It's not necessary to purchase any new battery if your battery happen to be a dry cell battery. If it is a wet cell then you'll have to purchase one. What you can do is to bring your battery over to your nearest bike shop and have to mechanic to recharge your battery. After that, go back to your bike and connect your battery and ride down to your mechanic and let him have your bike diagnose. Or you can also find someone to help you start your engine by using the Cable(Sorry forget the name of it, But this way it only allows you to start once. Meaning when you start your bike the first thing for you to do is to ride down to your nearest bike shop) This way it saves up your time and no hassle for you to go to bike shop recharge n go back n connect the battery to your bike again. This happens to me before but it's not a S4. Hope that help. :thumb:

Yea. There's a few reason why battery gets flat easily.

1st: You're having sound system on your bike, but you on the sound system without having your engine started.

2nd: You've just installed additional stuff to your bike. For eg, Alarm, Voltmeter, Sound system so on. The connection to the battery somehow have some current leakage which cause your battery to die off easily.

3rd: You've an old battery, You may think it's still working but you won't know when will it die off. Normally from what i heard from other Experience Rider they told me a Battery lifespend is around 3-5yrs. But depends on your usage.

4th: You've installed an Alarm system on your bike, Regardless whether it is a 1 way or a 2 way alarm. Sometimes if you have your alarm activate for a long while. It will also dry up you battery (Especially when your alarm keep going off constanly.

Remarks: It's not really necessarily to have a Volt Meter installed in your bike, but it will be useful for you to monitor your battery voltage. Best thing if you have your battery wiring connection being done by an experience mechanic or friends. Sometimes it's cheap for you to DIY but don't forget. Some money cannot be save. In the end you'll ended paying more than you expected.

Hope that will help!

Go to the shop n ask the mechanic to check or charge ur batt or install a voltmeter....The best buy a new one.

If u r using anything extra like fog light or alarm...try to use relay..:thumb: So it will not eat ur batt!

Yup. If you're willing to spend more. You'll have something which decorate and make your bike more chio, and also allows u to monitor the voltage everytime. But do have your battery check every 1/2 yr or more. Depends on some people. So i would recommend a regular bike diagnose.

Oh yes. One last time to cover up. Have your rectifier being check whenever possible. Sometimes when the rectifier break down. Your bike will just drain up all your battery without having the rectifier to recharge it. And what's more from what i know... A rectifier is not cheap. So a regular bike diagnose will be recommended. :thumb:
