I dun really recall.. haha... old liaoz.. old man old advise.. speed up is easy but slow down required skills and methods.. like today i skid at least 10m? with my wheel brake jammed.. because of traffic light suddenly amber.. 2nd arrow.. speed at 60.. the arrow super far apart.. thus brake... just nice.. stop line... :)

Fwahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh  so sard.... i havent develope the skill yet. So i Xin Jiao Muahahahaha...

As wat i always said since i join SBF, you can go tat fast but can you stop tat fast?

time for for u to change to steel braided hose, recommend u HEL. will improve ur braking. Ride safe

Since we're on the topic of braking.... what techniques do you all use to stop the bike quickly?

For me i do a quick double tap on the front brakes while depressing the rear brake normally, if not lightly. I let the front fork compress first with the first tap, then i slowly apply pressure steadily on the front brake steadily once the fork is compressed. I find this is the best way to stop in a hurry without locking up the rear wheel.

I also use alot of engine brake (4 stroke bike only!!!) to compensate the rear brake... sometime down shift 2 gears at a time.... so far so good, no rear wheel lock.

2 stroke bike can also use engine brake lah

Dun forget brake pads does ALOT of difference. :D Just a reminder.

I used to state that statement i think before you ba. Hahaha. Now my statement change already. :D

Its not how fast you ride, its how long you can stay riding ALIVE. :D:D:D:D

Hmmm thats why its good to stay at power band most of the time. If in the wrong gear, your bike will be in a rolling state where the kinetic energy is higher and thus much effort is needed to stop the bike. With correct gearing, the engine brake will slow down the bike when throttle is close.

It doesnt spoil the bike cos its suppose to be rode this way. Only thing is dun do sudden throttle or erectic throttle which while hurt the engine.

Best is still dun follow too close and leave a distance is unsure. For me i still dun like to brake hard and i only try to practise brake hard when no vehicle but still scare of falling.

not scared piston piang meh? Throttle is closed and you engine brake... is it little or no 2T is being pumped in?? Because 2T pump is see your throttle position open how much then pump how much???:confused::confused:

for me brake front (70~90%) and back (25~75%) follow by down gear fast throw clutch, and brake more and repeat the steps until i reached my desire "point"

The % will depends on how far i'm away from my point... if cornering.. this CANNOT be applied... You will skid and FLY~~~

If cornering.. Brake front (25%~45% MAX) and back (25%~45% MAX), down gear asap... and repeat the steps i mentioned above...

I agreed with brake pads makes a diff.. the best i've tried.. EBC... :) ex thru... used up within 3~5months of my riding pattern.. thus.. I changed to cheaper brands.. :)

N of cuz.. Its not how fast you ride, its how long you can stay riding ALIVE., Correct also..

No matter how fast you are.. another person can be faster.. and the correct way of thinking is.. stay alive to ride.. Only if you are alive, den you can ride fast.. once you are down.. No matter how fast you are.. how many jackpot you won.. It's all histories... :)

this is gd too:cheers:

Because 2T pump is see your throttle position open how much then pump how much???

u are half correct, throttle yes provided u are using premix wifout the 2t pump.

if wif 2t pump, as long as the piston is moving, 2t will be drawn out.

sometimes when ppl debate in other threads, i lazy go in explain, waste my time n kena flamed for nothing, i know myself can already, trial n tested n proven:angel:

yeah.. will change once i got my pay next month.. this one broke liaoz.. :( CNY spend alot..

fast throw clutch, and brake more

wah, give ppl ang bao is it?:cheeky:

my front pad can still use for another 2-3 more months.

dun throw clutch, release gradually, continue to down gear while controlling the brakes, everything smooth

oo.. izzit? as long piston moving.. 2T will be drawn ar? den no need to use that method of maintaining a certain RPM when down gear too much.. :)

lolx.. yeah.. confirm.. some people doesn't appreciated wat people tell them..

no lor. not give ang bao.. cause go watch movie eat pop corns.. i think watch 2~3 shows liaoz lei.. lolx.. den I go arcade spend also around 1xx? lolx..

ooo.. your brake pad when you last changed?

ooo... but if slow slow.. my down speed will be "slowed" down and i might end up banging people's back.. :(

-tat is for ppl who use premix

-so long in SBF liao, seen n experienced liao, now i quiet liao, sian already, i sign up to help ppl but ppl dun appreciate i also sian.

-y go arcade, go makan better:hungry:

-i forget liao but i always check my wear n tear. roughly can estimate still can last how long.

-actually not slow slow, its the reaction n movement of the down shifting braking process must be fast, swift n smooth.
