Basically, people tends to do slight mod every now and then (e.g. CF GT Wing, Front bodykit, sideskirt, Defi Meters (turbo boost, oil pressure, water temp, oil temp, exhaust temp), turbo timer, suspension, ECU reflash or piggyback system, brake set and the list goes on. Its hard to stop once you start.

 

$7k top up for a Gen 2? Guess you must have full loan the car. General rule of thumb, pay at least 20% downpayment with the rest on max of 7 years loan. Much as possible, pay up to 50% of the car price if possible and take a 3 or 4 years loan for the remaining. If one cannot even afford to pay 20% upfront for the downpayment, I'd say forget the car.

 

1 yr from now, you will still need to pay more than $5k to clear off the loan for your Gen2. Break even point is about 7 years for full loan.

nowdays 99% buyer for for 100% loan wat... sum still ok.. willing to fork out 1st payment + insuranc .. sum dun even wan cum out that few k.. all throw into loan.. haiz..
