He said period. It's getting irritating, kind of like a broken record. I wouldn't buy it at that price, but who are you to lecture him?

I never lecture him.

Guys, i have to add my piece after reading through this thread. Let's not be sour-grapes. A sale is between the buyer and seller. A seller can ask for whatever he wants. A Buyer has the right to offer anything he thinks is worth it for him. If you think the price is too high, then walk away. How much the seller earns is not even a point of contention here. If I am the buyer and I think $16k is too high and $14k is right, I make an offer at $14k. The fact that he bought at $12k is none of my business as long as I think $14k is a fair price for the condition of the bike. The bikes here are pre-owned bikes (second hand bikes) and some may have faults that even the owner does not know about. The onus is on the buyer to check out the bike carefully.

Let's not hijack someone's thread and spoil his sale. One man's meat is another's poison. A bike may not be worth it for you but it is worth a lot for another. Let the buyer and seller come to a deal on their own. We should not post anything unrelated to the sale, especially negative comments.

Some may think they are doing a public service by highlighting the negative. I think it's just sour grapes. The buyers here are smart people. They know a good deal when they see one (and vice versa). Let's respect the seller and buyer and let them come to their own decision. To me, posting these is a public dis-service... not helping anyone.

Not all buyers all smart enough. Sellers can always cover or hide the defects. Nothing to do with grapes, be they sweet or sour.

What then makes your sentence so smart that 'not all buyers smart enough' buyers can benefit from when you have hardly shared any explicit and objective materials/basis to validate your accounts on said buyer, bike and transaction in general?

That's not really smart (in more than one way) isn't it?

1. Any potential buyers for that bike would have done the research and see it especially when it's in the same forum.

2. It's rather an unethical forum move to blatantly post a link which challenges this advertisement and it's unnecessary. I don't see this happening in any decent and established forum.

Like I say,if you respond in a constructive way, then this will be a better forum. If you keep on hitting me n carry balls of the seller, there's no end to it.

Yes. An aged bike (14yr old bike) when I bought it, but had loads of character. handles more like an elephant when sparred with the fireblades, but it's exo is well sought after by the bladers! I didn't do up much. Only had dirty fingernails...

Those days especially enjoyable with the closest friends when you started riding, that made riding much more enjoyable.....

Now you REALLY made reminisce those days with the hurricane.. and made me dig a haystack of files for this!

Asking for 10.8k for something similar. Please refer to link

Looks familiar I think i might have met the seller. I was looking something that wasn't equipped on his bike. He even went through his contacts to help find what I was looking for. Deal didn't go throughdue to time constraint. Well maintained, and very pleasant guy... IF it's the same guy...

Some updates, basically from those who texted and arranged for the up coming viewings. There are a few common questions and might be useful to indicate here.

How many owners?

I am the 7th based on LTA documents

Is it legal?

I was told it is, but it wasn't. I made it legal from the last inspection in late April.

Where and when can I view?

Location : I am afraid I can only disclose the location in private. Due of security, requires clearance myself and it is not my ownership. Viewing is only at 1 designated location, because I do not ride once it's officially listed. that's my personal style. Apologies if any conveniences caused.

Time : Generally 630pm~830pm weekdays. 3-5pm weekends. But can always play by ear, and requires head-sup especially on weekends.

Are there any scratches?

It is a 10 year old and I don't expect too much from a daily driving vehicle when i am buying the vehicle. Engine and gearbox is my utmost importance.

Yes, there are scuffs, scratches and chips here and there when I bought the bike. I managed to wax off quite a number of them, but there are some that still retains.

I told an interested parties I will include an FOC polish before taking over ownership to improve what I can visually see. So, tonight I did what i could....
