Sigh no choice..if you read my lesson 5 circuit assessment in CDC, I think I wasted nearly 2 to 3 weeks. And instructors there always just hand me the book and say try again without telling me where the mistakes I commit. I admit SSDC is really far even though I drive however at least IMO the instructors there are more willing to teach you and correct your mistakes.

During this wait for TP.. I had been doing some browsing of used bikes.

The one that caught my eye is aprilia RS4 125 which fellow bro FTW is selling...

Everything is about to finalise but the insurance drop a huge big bomb on me... NTUC quoted me $1100+ for the insurance.

Other insurance company called and dun even want to quote me...

I seriously thought the max for my age could be like 600 + but I am so wrong.. After doing some maths and discussion with my OC,

no go.... and I am still dwelling about losing a very good deal from him...After checking with KTM now a brand new Duke 200 cost around 18 to 19K and a brand new RC200 cost 19K to 20K... OMG..

Anyone who is looking to buy Aprilia RS4 125 do look for FTW. His bike is superb condition.. sorry FTW for wasting much time on me..

Ntuc is slightly more ex than other insurance companies but they have their own plus points. You plan to upgrade to 2a and 2? And why rs4 125?

The rs4 125 model is the bike I liked when I am having my lessons at CDC. always walk past the showroom.

Unfortunately, only NTUC insured that aprilia sports bike... The rest of insurance company don't even want to quote me.

Planning to get 2A too get the super 4 but well long long way to go.

Hello riders.

Today my 1st lesson 7 and I passed it with confidence carried from lesson 6 the same week.

Lesson 7 with 6 people half will do circuit assesment while the other do defensive plus road assement.

The instructor today mr s.velan was very particular about the circuit revision. Another learner and me are grouped under him. The first thing he do is to shoot those who never went cr which include me. His favorite scolding will be why never go want to try luck is it... Later u better try your very best....he got me really stressed up. He was also my orientation instructor and back then he already emphasize a lot on the revision.. Ok firstly off to do circuit warmup first. Purposely chose my fav bike number but while throttling found the handle a it loose off.. This caused me to wobble during fig8 and crank..

Had a scenario at junction with turn right pocket just in front of me I got a p plate biker who stalled 2 times... Instructor asked me to overtake who i did. He told me that during tp I would be failed but he give me chancebyticking fail to overtake. With this I completed ssdc pract lesson and will need to attend my last theory 6 tomorrow sat before booking tp...

A big thanks to this forum with various helpful important info. And I am glad to read the CDC vs ssdc and made the switch over to SSDC I really wondered maybe I would give up after the plentiful failures from the CDC circuit assesment.

All the best to you. I just started my Prac lessons going to attend this sat at SSDC.. excited!!

01 month passed and another 01 month of waiting before TP..

Going RR tomorrow Sunday 815am...Anyone too?

Posted (edited)

Just noticed the post on my Sexy White RS4 125. Had many enquiries, mainly from those who are waiting for TP.

The bike is still waiting for the right owner as of now. If anybody is interested, please refer to XXX. Give me a LIKE too :thumb: Haha.

Just some pointers:

- All the pre-owned RS4 125 out there are much higher in mileage, ranging from 20+ to 40+K. This means the bike was used for daily commuting.

- Using COI, for the same age as my bike, you will spend about 11K+ for the bike.

- If you go to some bike shops and see their pre-owned RS4 125, the condition is damn chui. Weird stickers, fallen side mirrors, changed to weird side mirrors.

Actually Duke 200, I tried before, not to my liking. RC200 looks too weird.

Went RR yesterday and sian different instructors different advice...

At both scenario on road, 1 at U-turn junction and another 1 at right turn pocket area.

Instructor commented I never check blind spot while positioning. instructor said when traffic turn green and I am first bike, I must

check back left and before positioning check right blind spot before tilting bike to right to u-turn or right pocket..

I check with another instructor after my RR, the other instructor said no need if you go in front to tilt right or right pocket no need check blind spot... But after that then check....

Another round of RR today.. But it was raining today.. So grab raincoat.

Normally learner falls is norm while learning but today due to floor wet, instructor bike skid and falls...

That scene really reminds us to be slow and careful while raining...

Then while exiting instructor bike stall and for some reason can't start...

Will be taking this week and next week off from bike and final week with 4 revision cramp in 1 week before TP...

Just to share on TP.

Reporting time for SSDC is at 7am if you want warm up. If you hero or don't want warm up you can just report at 8am.

Now I noe... TP day can't choose bike (However if you are Old age like me... within number tag from 1 to 25 you can choose bike provided you rush down to ground floor and go try to find your favourite bike...) If you are the younger ones, can't choose only the front number tags come back then you get their bike to use.

I found a favourite bike number 52 but suddenly, the seat cushion like change to a lower one which previously is not. So I did not dare to take that bike. Then i spotted bike 62, and i recalled reading fellow rider xxmomo using that bike number in her blog so i take that bike.

Diao never engine stall before in my practice and revision but i stall 2 times at warm up during E-Brake.

Please note some tester like to use change to use hand signal or blinker for some station.

I kenna 2 points for delay to move off. because blinker light is on for narrow plank, then i thought shalom also need then i waited a while before realizing the tester had hand signal me already. Really is blur. then best part, during my ebrake i actually stall my engine.... Abit cock up in there but i quickly start the engine and carry on.

The test is over relatively quickly. Then came the waiting in the room for result... Even when i take class 3 also not that scary..

If tester/Instructors call you number means you failed which all of us know..

Each batch will have a tester in charge like from 1 to 5 then 6 to 10 etc. And if you see the tester in charge of your batch walking toward your classroom, means someone from your batch fails...My batch got i think 2 or 3 numbers called. Then instructors will ask the remaining testees in your batch to sit another side of the classroom meaning 99% will pass but still got 1% chance of error or failing.

My personal friend happened before, thought he passed, then suddenly was told he failed...

Luckily the testers did not keep coming and instructors will final confirm the number of persons passed. Everyone cheered including me lol..

Watch videos, read our pledge and off we go to book the EFR. Thank you to this forum and tips. My 2B Journey finally OTR.
