Hi Simeone82, nice write out on your learning experiences. Enjoyed reading it and should have read it sooner. I guess I am too late to switch school now huh? Failed my lesson 8 very miserably on Monday, trying it again tomorrow.

Hi steven68, Don't worry keep trying and since you are at lesson 8 in CDC, you can do it! Don't rush when doing your last lesson, just treat it like a normal practice lesson. Don't think about switching school at this moment already, you are just 1 step away from booking TP. Good Luck!

Hi Simeone82,

I got my class 2b licence yesterday after completing the EFR yesterday. More than 60% passed the test.

I had enrolled and pass my class 2A TP yesterday already.

Class 2A difference is additional bumpy course and extra timing on narrow plank and other than that the rest same as class 2B.

Many said class 2A and class 2 test, TP will go easy on you as your got 2B or 2A.

Please note, no they are still dammn strict on your timing, posture and safety checks. If you are an occasion rider or not riding, your class 2a may take a while to repeat for some lessons. Out of 25 pax, only 3 class 2A bros failed their test. I made no immediate failure or any mistakes I known, but I still gotten 16 points for my TP. Points given just for improper turning I gotten 2x3 6 points, fail to change correct gear 4 points, fail to signal good time 2 points, delay in moving off 2 points, and brake while negotiate bend 2 points. Luckily I gotten no points for my course, because if say my bumpy course is fast, I would scored another 4 points which result me in failure.

So my advice, if you can, go for more revision. I went for total of 3 revisions before my TP and I am glad I went to build up my confidence.

Now the waiting game for 1 year up before I can go class 2!

Good luck to all!

Nice! Congrats!. You also heng like me....another penalty somewhere & its curtains liao!

I did a lot of cr....but i was focusing mostly on my bumpy. clutch partial biting pt+const throttle+ride the rear brake worked the best for me.

yeah.... these elderly uncles are strict like hell.....onus on us us to really prove to them why we deserve to hold whatever class of license. Practice is sooooo impt. Cant stress that enough....practice practice practice is my mantra.

Super 4 akan datang??

Yes I am a lousy rider if you read my experience on my figure 8 so yes I believe in more practices. The revision somehow somewhat help to build up the confidence for courses etc. I see many of those taking TP same as me all scoring in the range of 14-18 points. So points for courses are important to help or break you. It does not help where cars in circuit don't give way to Tp motorcycle...

Yes super 4! heard it good to help prepare for class 2.

I have an ex colleague to thank. When I was struggling during 2b & tempted to giveaway pts for courses....he told me no such thing. Cant mk timings, then you go bk & practice until you can mk them. So am glad i did. As we can clearly see from our 2a experience, if some station we gv away 4 pts, we wld have failed!

Super 4... some people say go for spec 1-3. Avoid revo. Parts for spec 1-3 are interchangeable but revo isnt. Revo is also fuel injected while the others are carburetted. Some say revo is very hot in betn the legs....how true this is i dunno. But doesnt make sense to me lah.... cos basically similar engine. Maybe you can tell me later lah! haha

I think as long if you pass 2b and within a year go take 2a you are rather safe for the courses minus the bumpy course. When the first time I went in fig 8, I wobble like mad as I am too fast and more ever I open and close throttle (doable in class 2b but hard in 2a). But even so timing is still ok. I guess the body memory does remember.

I bought a spec 2 cb400 from a fellow friend rider. The bike is really making me enjoying my ride. heat of the engine and I think somewhat similar with the school bike cb400f. IMO super 4 is really a good bike after riding and hence so long in the market already.

I had enrolled and just pass my Class 2 TP Test today. Enrolled to SSDC and I am glad to go for 4 circuit revision before my TP test.

Class 2 9 pax today 02 Bros failed I think due to immediate failure and plenty of points. Good Luck next TP bros!

Just to share on class 2 TP test. Please don't be conceited that TP tester would go lenient on you if you have class 2b or 2A!. Quite a number of failures from class 2 and class 2A. Class 2 difference is additional bumpy course time at 8 Seconds, class 2A 6 seconds and extra timing on narrow plank 10 Seconds class 2A 8 Seconds. This finally wrapped up my motorcycle learning experience.
