Ok, some news...

Spoken to Derrick, price is about $200 per piece.

Currently it is not PSB approved yet.

According to him, it will be approved in about a month's time.

In the mean time, maybe we can gather MO list, then bargain for cheaper price when the helmet comes out

No necessary true.

It is the Aerodynamic design that determines the noise level of the helmet.

Some helmet no air vent also very noisy one leh...

it's about 1600 grams....noise level is about 30db which is pretty good. it'll increase once the inner liner wears out. use ear plug when touring.

the only thing that is missing is that it doesn't come with sun shade visor.

so, I'm basically planning to go for the HJC FS-MAX flip up. it's 200 grams extra. but as u wear it, the weight distributes well within the posture.

hmmm.. what are the places that sells this helmet?

Rjays are brought in by Regina and the cost should be from $150 onwards. there isn't any report so far on Rjays on any kind of shell approve. So, I'm in dark about this helmet

HJC FS-max and HJC CL-max are brought in by motoworld and the quality are relatively amazing. HJC is the only mid end helmet that are crash proof tested. they are approved by ECE and DOT.

SNELL approve are quite expensive, so HJC do not engage them. but then, just b'coz it is expensive it doesn't mean it has to be really great. but then, currently HJC is trying to design a flip up to achieve the SNELL standard.

Most helmet with polycarbonate shell contruction will get a PSB approval. but PSB stresses out the fact that the chin strap strictly has to be 'D' ring. a common clip strap is just isn't good enough. the europeans where else believe that the 'D' rings may cause slip. and so the Buckle quick release is used. HJC is made in Korea but highly used in the europe and US.

the quality finishing is extremely important in every helmet. reading reviews and testing out is a good way to know your choice of helmet.
