Rjays Tourtech Flipup Helmet Anyone?

had a look at the RJays tourtech helmets a while ago, and i am a little disturbed at how large they are. or rather how large the padding inside is. it makes my head look like a fricking alien of sorts.

 

wondering if there is a flip up helmet with a more compact shell. :/

haha... yeah.. on the large shell thingy, if darker colours are bought, i guess it'll look slightly smaller....

 

same theory as black clothes always makes a lady look slimmer..

if the helmet is suitable for you and price is within budget, why not?

theres this spanish brand of flip face helmets regina sells. more compact shell so it wont make me look like an alien. i like it to be honest, but i am not liking how overly complicated it is. too many sliders and stuff. i just want a simple flip face visor. no need for intercom, no need for the built in visor. simple, well ventilated helmets. good nuff for me.

 

had a look at the Airoh Jawbreaker. made the top of my head hurt since its narrow at the top. blah.

i think plastic is not as strong as metal when it comes to hard impact. its always good preparing for the worst right? so its plastic har? i thought of getting it but i dont think i will now. LOL.

Juz got the Tourtech with PSB & Australia approval stickers (S$180/-), and a dark visor (S$35/-)

very nice ...

They have the mirror iredium visor too, bit more ex; didn't ask exact price cos tot IMHO, it look kinda 'beng'.

 

The helmet is bigger than normal, first helmet that won't fit in my side box.

so no suitable for smaller build rider .... unless you wanna look like Big Head Doll ..

 

Airoh shell much smaller, was using it .. but it's crap!!!

Padding cannot take out, no vent, but air leak damn loud..

One of my worst helmet .. but the design is the nicest, especially with dark visor (visor damn ex too ..)

Yeap. There is a Triangle sticker there. No real use. Just says push, probably for first time users. Saw a guy at Causeway point with one of these.

Tour tech retail for about A$250/- in Australia, that's at least S$300/-. Scary how LAB can sell so cheap .. Interestingly their other Rjay products are not cheap relative to Rjay website prices. eg: tank bag on website sells for A$29/-, LAB selling abt S$70/-

 

my concern is if they are getting factory rejected Tour Tech helmet (thus the black duct tape) at lower cost. of course the original no problem ones are submitted for PSB check and certification, but what we are buying might not be same standard.....

we confirm cannot tell if we're getting a 'lower quality' stash of helmet... fact is... regina is the sole agent of rjays in singapore (to the best of my knowledge of course)... so their price would be a fair one...

As mentioned above, It is PSB approved and can be bought at LAB or Reggina.
