anyway its kinda true to a certain extent about the NSR, because its one of the top few reported case of stolen bikes in the 2b category on the net and offline. :faint:

Is that an opinion or is that a fact? I would be interested to see the statistics of types of bikes being stolen. Do you have an URL to share where this data is available?

That's an insane price. I'd deal pronto if i'm you.

you can Replay that again..

+1. I think its a ridiculous price too. jB, close the deal before the potential buyer finds out that he can get much cheaper TA200 elsewhere.

+1 for me.

1) I'm hesistating because I can't get a first hand bike yet I don't want my parents to be paying lots for it monthly.

2) I can get a cheap bike but they're quite old(coe / wear & tear)

3) army is coming :nono:

4) petrol pricing in SG & M'sia :nono:

Morale: weighing the pros and cons still :giddy:

with regards to 2) and kiamh's comment about cheaper ta200 elsewhere : I still stick with my "good things not cheap, cheap things not good" :p

of cuz good things dont come cheap.. but every bike has own limit, for 4-5 year old phantom that's helluva good price.

you know how much bike production sells for 2nd hand phantom ?

fuel price, insurance, ofcuz you have to pay for it. but you'll get much better bike which fills ur satisfaction whenever you ride.

why bother first hand bike? there are lots of good deals in garage sale for 2nd hand spec3 or GSR400 (swoosh's bike going for about 9k) if u want fairly new one.

or just bandit 400cc or super4-verS could cost 2-3k only..

my FC if far worse than kiam's 1200cc but i enjoy it every moment i sit on it..

so jB.. go for it..

I know how much BP sells theirs ;) and how lil they take in mine only

ehh bandit? :nono: VerS maybe still possible..still thinking about the pros and cons..

HEY! think the whole page is filled with my stuffs sia, can we take it off the forum and we talk via MSN pm instead so others can chit chat about other things :thumb: don't let it get too personal and offend other bikers/shops w/out knowing it also :giddy:

VTwin vs Inline4 & all that mah... + I don't have Vtec + I tuned my bike for Torque. Would you believe me if I told you I only ride at 100kmh max?(occasional push to 120kmh for overtaking)

My Sporty fits my need commendably :)

i have to change gear at 3k-4k rpm to maintain 20km/l.. :p

for throttle happy, rev here rev there will go down about 18km/l..

if i go 10-12k rpm all the way will result in 15-16km/l .... hehehehe

jB, its really a shocking price. After your comments so far, i expected you to at least consider selling it off when the price is so good, then get a Wave just to save up that little bit more for your bigger bike.

Im really surprised youre hesitant actually, on the basis of your ambitions of going faster, leaving your Phantom because of the countless negative comments you feel about it, etc.

I have the best signature.

My bike redlines at 5500rpm. Normall running is about 2500~3000rpm. Breathing through a single carb to 2 cylinders, that kindof explains the relatively good FC.

I was actually doing about 24km/l, till I changed to a bigger carb & a hypercharger.

That in no way represents any statisics. You have not convinced me on the basis of your generalizations. Guess its just an opinion, not a fact.

well I guess its just a jB opinion then ;)

I've considered man :/ even thought of upgrading to wave which replay beat me to that already  but the monster will be coming out soon I hope..

Unfortunately, its gonna be a long trip, need to control my expenses, else I would have seriously considered renting a bike for the weekends. Did rent a 4-wheeler (on company expense) for my transportation though.

Its painful to see the long, wide empty roads with Harleys rumbling along (with helmetless riders) while I'm trapped in an air-conditioned tincan :(

you are a hardcore bike fan :thumb: the last time when I went to pattaya where they offered SGD$120 a day/harley and SGD$4/10 for a kup can't resist going around finding a bike to rent and ride. Else the holiday won't be complete

Unfortunately, I'm not on holiday & 2-wheel rentals are not reimbursible :weep:

jB, the M4? You serious? I thought Mr Hosay here criticised the idea of owning one?

I'd say "DANG!" if I were you  too bad, well don't think you'll be much into the fairing bikes there too, work hard and get home to ride your babe:thumb:

jB, didnt know ur a duke lover too like me.

The first biker who looked very cool to me was one on a Black Monster 400 with a Black full face and black clothing covering him all over. He looked at me and :lovestruck:

Fairing bikes are not my cup of tea no matter where in the world I am.

People here are REALLY into road trips, & there aren't many places to track so fairing bikes are not so popular. Ginoormous cruisers are the IN thing. The insurance for fairing bikes are also very expensive because people wreck them all the time (a consequence of long empty roads, fast + powerful bikes & no helmet laws) Road conditions are also bad coz the huge temperature differences for different seasons crack up the roads pretty bad. Imagine going over a road crack at 200+kmh :giddy:

This information came from a bike dealer coz I visit all the showrooms in the vicinity

It won't be easy to rent a sportsbike but cruisers are easily available.

 maybe thats why there are different builds of bikes catering to different liking. Still would wear or request for a FullFace regardless of how slow/safe the bike is, not wearing a helmet makes me ride half hearted the last I tried in Thai :nono:. I'd declare myself as "Mr Hosay" if I were to ride over at 200km/h since I've thought thru and willing to take risks to go over 200km/h :faint:

Yeah, guess that's a minor consolation. But you know, I do not go on road trips to Malaysia coz I grew up there & there is no novelty for doing so. Its a totally different scene in the USA & its kindof exciting to be touring alone in a foreign land... unfortunately, it is not to be.

:)

Would love to do that but my finances are tight right now. This probably won't be my last trip here... maybe next time then... :D

Furthermore, I'm in Texas now & the winds are really really strong. A scooter got blown over by the wind last week in my company's carpark. Imagine that...
